Well, in keeping with the "one step forward and two steps back" philosophy of engine rebuilding that I've adopted, I broke one of the nozzles off the vacuum tree that attaches to the water pump:

It looked like this before I removed it:

How hard is it to find a replacement, or should I attempt to repair it instead?

should be able to buy one maybe from napa or one of the mustang supply companies. if you have to fix it i would try some silver solder or some brazing. i would think you could find a new one pretty easy

Thanks, folks. I took the part down to NAPA and the old timer said "That's a ported vacuum switch". He found one in Sacramento, and it'll be here on Tuesday.

My problem was that I didn't know the proper name of the switch and talked to the young guy on the phone. Thanks for the help! Problem solved. dancebanana
