I am painting a 71 mustang coupe and need to remove the rear window and I have no clue on how to do this. Thank you.

Getting it out is the easy part, getting it back in leak free requires some preparation and time. +1 to what sm3570 said on removing it, cut the seal, then carefully push the glass free. A helper is a good idea at this point...

+1 on cutting out the old seal.

I have my glass out but waiting for seal to arrive as the one I had ready was incorrectly supplied (coupe, my car is f/back), any tips on refitting/sealing? ...... a local screen/glass guy is doing the install with my help & hopefully some guidance from here.

We did notice lots of black bonding had been used previously around the seal?

I have new trims and trim clips btw.

The original did not leak but was starting to crack and perish.

Thanks in advance
