Common terms - real meanings*

Restoration Started - I took it apart.

Project - In boxes, most of which I lost in a move somewhere.

Restored - Cheap Paint Job over a leaking cowl

Restomod - messed-o-rod or rusto-mod

HiPo - I put a 'Holley and Dual exhaust' on it.

Rare - Just like all the others out there.

Modified - Like my wheels and the stereo?

Needs TLC - Needs a crusher.

Ran when Parked - Ran when it was new too, but we are a long way from that.

Lost Interest - Wife says it has to go.

Doc, my cars resemble many, if not all, of those terms.

You forgot:

Mach1- It´s a Mustang from 17-73

Matching Numbers- The numbers on the VIN tag and the title are the same

Mine too buddy! Just needs a little TLC.

One of the favorite ones around here is "rat rod", which means they started working on it and have it so totally messed up that it can't be fixed.

my favorite ... "I was told"

"I believe all the parts are there" translation ....most important parts are missing

"last time I started it, it ran" translation.... till I blew the motor

"fresh rebuilt motor" .... I lost the receipts" translation I painted the motor

Yea Rat rod means he doesnt have the time,money, or knowledge, to put something together that Joe public wants.
