Best Mustang Site!!!

Question

I've said it before, but it was time to say it again, the guys here are the best of any other site I'm on!!!

Recently I had the pleasure of being insulted on 2 other sites which I don't think I'll be posting on too often anymore. One is another Mustang site, and the other is a blender (3D graphics program) site.

Here's the quote from the Mustang site which I posted the same pics of my '00 repair that I posted here http://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-crap?pid=74750#pid74750

"Dude, ditch that Cobra emblem.

Fobras are the ultimate in cheese. Ask anyone. The bumper looks sweet. Cant wait till I get mine."

And after posting this pic on the blender site:ObsidianRender5.png

which is the pic I used to make my new sig here, this is the response I got -

"There was a reason they made the dinosaurs in the first Jurassic Park movie start running around at dusk - it is easier to make it look good. I'd like to see a daytime render. Even more advanced is another color of car, why not a silver metallic to make it really interesting. ;D

The lines of it look really good though."

Really though:huh: Has no one ever learned if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!!!

Keep up the good work here guys, we've got the best site around!!!::goodjob::

all that counts."

As you and most here know, I am a purist at heart when it comes to our cars.

But in the modded catergory - your coupe (and your rendered vision) is/are definitely in my list of favorites.

I really like the black-out treatment. I would love to see your car next to a very similarly designed/painted Pantera. What a killer pic!!!!! Be a GREAT wallpaper/screensaver!

Anyway - I'm a fan of your blender work and your real coupe. Thanks for sharing with us all on this site.

You are VERY welcome here.

If everyone had the same taste it would be a boreing world.

It's one thing to have a vision and obtain it, but to be the one who works and makes that vision become a reality gets added respect from me. I have found that in some cases it becomes a manhood measuring contest in which the more money you waste on a car the better. But since I fall short (in all departments) I find it more interesting when I see a car that is built by it's owner...and before I get ripped to shreds, I understand that not everyone can do everything, but you got to admit it adds something to a car when you know the guy did all of it himself. As for me I am just too picky to let anyone else work on mine.

I like the vision you have. I wish I could render mine like that so I could see it before I do it.

I am not a big fan of neigh sayers, there is a lot of stuff that everyone could comment negatively on and they dont, that why this site is awesome. plus everyone on here loves mustangs! lol

I agree 100%. The respect and friendliness of everyone here makes it an unusual, even unique, place to hang out on the web.

From what I've seen on this site so far everyone has a great attitude and is willing to help out! I wouldnt worry about those who post derogatory statements their just jealous of your talent and cars!!!

birds of a feather flock together. Many of us have abandoned other car forums for their general negativity. Why go elsewhere when the most specialised knowledge is right here?

OK, I'll chime in also... I went to my old T-bird forum a few weeks ago to check in, and noticed right off the bat the difference in respect and attitude! Glad to be here, and Obsidian your renderings and work are top notch in my book!

I can't even remember the last time I went to the other forum I belong too, and before Barry sent me the invite to this forum I was there everyday. The attitude on this forum is fantastic and when you need advice you sure don't have to wait long for answer.

I have to agree your renderings are top notch!

Totally agree with everybody, this is an awesome forum and a friend of mine says that I am spoiled because everybody on here is nice and helpful. I am so happy we don't have to deal with trolls on this forum. Great rendering by the way.

IMHO the members of this sight agree that "it's yours". I personally have always applauded the "what if people". If not for them, We would never move forward.

I think you hit the head on the nail, Mark!! The foundation of this site is "do what you want to do that makes you happy." Mods, restos, concours, purists, restomods, I6 (shout out to Mike and Damian), Clevelands, 429s, Big Ass Ghetto wheels, (OK, maybe not Big Ass Ghetto wheels) - all are welcome. "It's yours, so do whatever makes you happy." That, I believe, pretty much sums up this site. Rant over...
