James these went on the cowl panel RH side

I have never seen a sticker where you have indicated. All my cars had these stickers on the valve cover, between #5 & #6 cylinder.

I tried to find some of these stickers on the cowl, but could not find any. That doesn't mean I don't believe you, just that is not what I have found in my experience.

Here are some additional sources:

Okay...I goto garage and I search for the 3 users you have listed and I come up with nothing.

How do I get to their stuff?

It is not easy to see as most people are not looking for it.

user sprintsportsroof - images - 1st pic yellow decal on cowl by RH hood hinge

Garage pg 17

user hemikiller - images - look at rh hood hinge, decal on side of cowl.

Other years had them on the motor, 71-3's are on the cowl.

72 sprint 351 CJ unrestored.jpgemission decal cowel .jpgThis is a picture of my March 72 built Mach 1 before it was restored. The decal is on the passenger side cowl.

My 72 R code had the emission control decal also on the cowl. I have seen two, very late production 1973 351C 4Vs with the emission control decal on the top of the driver side valve cover. However, in both instances the passenger side valve cover had Powered by Ford surrounded by a rectangle and the driver side just had the ford oval towards the rear with the decal in the resulting blank spot on top. I have seen what I feel are accurate original pictures of 71 429 cars with emissions decal on aluminum valve covers, driver's side

I'll look for some additional accurate pictures. Chuck

Well I guess I don't know how to post a picture here.

Got it.

As a side bar, there is no caution fan decal.

Also found this period correct pic of B351 http://www.boss351registry.com/images/Magazines-articles/Super%20Stock%20&%20Drag%20Mar%2071/Rotation%20of%20Scan0005.JPG

For what its worth, the original emission sticker on my 73, with a build date of April 1973, is located on the drivers side rocker cover, but mine is the 250 6 cylinder!

Hey, I did some digging and found 2 different stickers for the 73 models with the 351C. Those built prior to 1 Jan 73 and those built after 1 Jan 73. My car was built 5 Dec 72. The sticker picture I posted to my photo gallery was on my driver side valve cover, definitely not original.

Before 1 Jan 73:

After 1 Jan 73:

My other 73 Q-code was a different color but in the same place. I believe it was because it was a 4 speed if my memory serves me right.

Mine was on the valve cover also... As you can imagine in my 6 cylinder car, there were no sticker repros available so i did mine using some data i had in the old one plus some pictures of barrys (roketfoot) coupe..

If you need some data on the 6 cylinder ones ask me

I have two original 73 Mustangs as follows.

73 vert H code automatic, DSO 72 San Jose, built April 4, 73 sticker on the left hand valve cover. I took pictures but they came out bad and have since painted the covers.

73 Q code, 4 speed, DSO 22 Charlotte, built May 11, 73 sticker on the left hand valve cover. Never painted sticker still present don't have a pic but can get one. Original owner.

It is difficult to get the exact stickers for these cars most are incorrect. Especially the sticker that shows what the engine is on front of R.H. valve cover. A list for them would also be great.

OK Here is a photo of my emissions decal on my 1973 Q code 4 speed mustang.
