My Car
1973 mustang sportsroof - 351c 2v - fmx trans.
Hello everyone I was introduced to Ford vehicles about 30 years ago when I got a 73 maverick with a factory 302 at the age of 18. I loved that car and had alot of fun driving it and learning how to work on the car. I have had 5 -6 mustangs, a fairmont and currently own a 2000 Ranger 4x4 offroad edition, 1994 f350 7.3 IDI turbo diesel crew cab dually, 2005 explorer (wifes), 86 mustang LX (parts car), 1973 fastback (restomod project) and my 351w powered 1987 LX pictured in link below. I have been hooked on ford for many years but I like all American muscle cars and hope to have many more years of enjoyment from them. Please share what you have or have had in the past or present.

I have owned only Fords since I was 16. i had one exception once i owned a delta 88. I have had lots of rangers, broncos, bronco II's, a 93 mustang gt, 86 mustang lx, 76 mustang II, 71 mach 1, 72 convertible, 72 coupe, Couple f-150s and a 76 ford highboy. My wife wanted a new car few years ago and i told her she has 3 choices Ford Lincoln, or Mercury. She bought a 08 Mercury Mariner. But one of my favorite had to be my 89 bronco II. It was a blast!!!

We aren't going to include Pinto's here are we? I know this guy, met him once, he is from Escondido. He had like 14 of those things...and he is going to say how great those cars were...just wait and see.

Anyway:

1964 1/2 Mustang Convertible 260 V8 3 Speed.

1973 Mustang Fastback, 351C 2V, Auto

1970 XR7 Convertible, 351C 4V 4Speed Posi

1982 LN7, 1.6L 5 speed...very S L O W, but very reliable. I think this is the only car the wife didn't crash.

1979 E-100 Long Wheel Base Don't Come A Knockin...Black, with Cragars, 3 on the tree. Needed a clutch every 10k...and yes I do know how to drive a clutch.

1970 XR7 Coupe, 351W, Auto...virtually original.

1973 Mustang Convertible, born an I6, now a 302 4V, soon to be 351C 4V. Surprised the OO got an automatic with this, cheap guy. Intend on blowing up the trans and rear end soon after installing the new motor. Hopefully I will have video to post on how to blow up trans and rear end so your wife will let you buy a GOOD FAST trans and rear end.

Here are some that I have pictures of. The only picture that I have of the Ranchero is this one with the motorcycle in it. The 69 Fairlane was my second car, but my first Ford. We also have had a Windstar van that I have no pictures of and a Courier Pickup that was mostly Mazda. There was also an Escort that we bought for the daughters to drive. There was a 72 Mustang coupe that we bought for the wife to drive early in our marriage. I can's seem to find pictures of it either.

1976 Gran Torino Starsky and Hutch Factory Car one of 1000 or so. Still have it in need of resto. Drove it to college.

1996 Ford Ranger XLT Sport. Setup like a Splash but with regular bed. Only made in Spring of 96 with 4.0 5spd and 3.55. It was lowered 1.5 or more from stock 2wd Ranger from factory. Five spoke chrome wheels and 23560r15 on all 4 corners. It was like having a Mustang with a bed that truck would scoot.

2000 Ford Focus Se Sport Black. Wife totaled it.

2000 Ford SE Sport Silver. Replacement for the wrecked one.

She wanted auto since they were her cars but enjoyed the car as it was the first new car I ever purchased.

1996 Bronco XLT Sport All Black. 5.8 manual hubs and transfer case lucked into one without the crappy Electronic Shift and Hubs that always fail.

2005 Mazda 6 3.0 Hatchback. Steel Grey. Would still have it if she hadn't racked up all the miles for work until they finally got her company car. When I bought it Ford still had Mazda as one of it's car lines. Awesome car for the DD.

2007 Mustang GT Deluxe Black . 5spd 3.55 rear end no spoiler. Ordered the way I wanted it.

2011 Flex Kona Blue. Wanted one since they came out. Love it Daily Driver while 07 GT rests in Garage for good days.

here is the order of the Ford Products I 've had and have.

1977 Mercury Cougar XR7 (my parents bought it in 1977 and it was given to me in 1993 I had it untill 2001) I junked it, needed too much work

1986 Mercury Cougar Bostonian, bought it in 1996 and sold it in 2001 (it was totaled 5 days after I sold it :( )

1993 Mercury Cougar XR7, Bought in 1999 sold in 2009 (I still see it around the town)

1976 Ford Elite bought in 1999 sold in 2003 (it has since been restored by new owner)

1997 Ford Expedition Bought in 2003 and Still own and Love!!!

2001 Ford Windstar Bought in 2002 (went to cash for clunkers) junked 2009

1972 Ford Mustang Convertable Bought in 2002 Still own and Love!!!

as you see from the dates at one point I had quite a few cars in my driveway, but they were all Ford products..

My Mom had a '69 Galaxie 500, '77 Mustang II, '78 Fairmont Futura.

My first car was an '82 Mustang GL (after I ditched the wire-wheel hubcaps & whitewall tires):

Still miss my little "four-eyed freak." :s

I currently have my:

1967 F-100. 390/C6/D44

Was my first vehicle. got it in 1996. It was stock with a 352 2V/C6. Stuck a 1970 car 390 into in about 12 years ago.

SUNP0121-2.jpg

1985 BroncoII. It started as a daily driver, and progressed into a wheeler. I put the 302 into it in 2005, and lifted it/swapped the axles in 2006.

IMG_1983.jpg

1992 explorer. My current daily driver. I couldn't leave it stock. I bought it with a bad trans. Swapped a C5 into it. That didn't work like I hoped, so I converted it to a 5 speed.

IMG_11701.jpg

1973 F-350 390/C6

Bought this as a work truck in 2009. My step dad ended up driving it for a little more than a year. Seems other people use it more than I do.

IMG_05941.jpg

1973 Mach 1. Inherited from Dad.

IMG_15101.jpg

1961 Falcon. 200/3 on the tree. I like it, but the lack of overdrive, and two door handles too many made it go up for sale. The BII replaced it.

256973_4_full.jpg

1982 EXP 1.6/4 speed.

Was a fun car. was my DD till the explorer replaced it. Unfortunately, it was rare, but not popular enough to put money into. Sold.

SUNP0054.jpg

I had a 1970 LTD 2dr for a bit. It was wrecked, I bought it for the 390/C6 that went into the F-100.

Fords:

1973 Gran Torino Sport, 400 auto repowered to a 351W/FMX. High school ride.

1982 EXP, black, stock. Cool.

1979 F150 2wd longbed with the factory "Freewheeling" reflective stripes, built 351W.

1967 Mustang coupe 289 auto, AC. Stillborn restoration, sold before starting it.

1982 Capri RS 5.0 semi-beater. Shoulda kept that one.

1977 Pinto panel wagon. Yes, the funky one with the porthole window. Mom's car in the early '80's, but I drove the snot out of it. Another one that got away.

1968 Torino coupe, 302 auto, southern rustfree beater. Sold to buy my Sportsroof.

1987 T-bird Turbo Coupe. Mint. I'll own another someday.

1987 E150 Quigley 4x4 conversion van/sprint car push truck.

IMG_2857.jpg

.

Some other notables:

1971 Datsun 240Z. Mega neato.

1986 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2, bought in Charlotte in 1987, had it autographed by Richard Petty on the C-pillar. Sold to a collector in Detroit. Still have the original keys :)

1968 Dart GTS.

1985 Fiero GT. Don't ask :(

1967 Barracuda "S" rolling chassis, southern rustfree. Flipped it instantly to make a few bucks, was worth 5X what I sold it for. Mopar guys are just plain insane.

Several Jeep CJ's.
