Anyone out there have their fuel tank out. I bought a new replacement fuel tank and installed it. Didn't look close at the old one. Now I have to vent the tank. Can't remember how the old tank was vented, and was wondering if the new tank can be vented the same way. I really don't want to get a vented cap. Anyone have any pictures of the vent coming off the tank or feedback.

Thanks, Wade :dodgy:

Wade, your tank should have a vent at the top and the fuel line and sender unit on the drivers side of the tank. I'll take pics when I get home.

found a picture of my tank..

hope this helps..

the vent uses the same locking ring and seal as the fuel sender unit in the tank.

if you didn't put the vent on the new tank then you have a big open hole ontop of the tank so you would have to drop the tank again to install the vent from the old tank

no repo tank comes with the vent, you have to reuse the original
