I survived 4 days in crazy heat at this event. I met a lot of great people that made it worth it. In spite of a few obvious go faster parts, I managed to get Gold for 71-73 Concours Driven. The judges were at my car for over an hour and I expected to get Bronze. The car is judged against an 11 page standard, not one car against another. This one actually matters to me. I had to tell someone and I figured you guys know me well enough to share this with. Chuck

Congratulations Chuck!

Well done and well deserved. This award is merely confirmation of something that many of us here have had no doubt about. That the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in your car is second to none. You have set a fine example for other lovers of 71-73 Mustangs to follow.

All the best,

TommyK

Congrats and would love to see you and your car in person to fully appreciate the accomplishment.
If you ever come this way let me know. It is always a pleasure to meet people from this site. Chuck

Getting a gold in Concours Driven class is a big deal! Congratulations!

Very nice, thats one award I will never see. Thats hard work and dedication, be proud. :salute:
But Roy I will say you have a very fine Mustang as well. And you and Chuck both have excellent drive-able cars to enjoy ,built the way you want.

I would be proud to own AND DRIVE either! :salute:

THank you, just on opposite end of the spectrum. Thats what makes car guys and gals great. We can enjoy all points in between. I enjoy a bone stock well maintain car with the best of them I just prefer modified ones for me personally to own. Guess I'm just to lazy to put the effort into a concourse type restoration. I like to beat on mine to much, maybe I will grow up one day................................NAH
