Hey I'm new to the forum and was wondering if some of you could chime in and help me get an estimation for my power output! It's a 1968 mustang with a 351w bored 0.040 over. Here's a list of everything relevant:

351w bored 0.040 over

Edelbrock performer heads (1.90 intake) 60 cc combustion chamber

1.6 svo adjustable roller rocker arms

Edelbrock performer intake

Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm carb

Sealed Power H336CP pistons (claims 9.42 compression with 64 cc heads)

Compression unknown

Lunati Voodoo cam 0.474 Intake 0.470 exhaust, 216 intake 228 exhaust at 0.050" lift

Hydraulic flat tappet lifters

I have seen edelbrock top end kits but they're all for performer rpm heads/intake. I've heard that performer are just the EFI version of performer rpm heads but I'm not 100% sure about that. Also, I haven't checked compression yet because my gauge needs some new o-rings lol.

If you guys could give me a high end and low end estimation for crank hp that'd be great, thanks!  :D

I built a 392W stoker several years ago but i can't remember all the exact specs. I know it ended up 10.5 compression. I used AFR 185 heads and either a comp cam he 280 or 282. Holly Street Avenger 670 carb and a cheap Powermaster intake that I think was supposed to be a knock-off of the Eldelbrock Performer.  It made 425hp and 450torque. Dyno operator said HP was being held back by the cheap intake mis-matched for the AFR heads. Wasn't too concerned about HP as I was building a street motor and wanted the torque.  All torque came in early and was a strong street motor without having to run high RPM.

Know a stroker is not comparable to your build but maybe you can get some idea of where you are headed with maybe this being the upper end.

Thanks! I want to build a 408 strocker, but that won't be for a while  :p But 425 hp 450 tq sounds like some great numbers, what ill eventually be shooting for I think! :D

I'd throw a number like 325 to 350 crank hp with proper tuning. Looks like a nice streetable build.
Cool! With about 2800 lb car it should be plenty quick! W

Yeah it's a street car that will be used for weekend fun, so nothing too crazy... yet lollerz
