My Car
1972 Mustang convertible
I have been watching this site for awhile trying to get the motivation to restore my 1972 Mustang convertible. My parents bought it new and I have had it since 1979. I drove it during my college days and was lucky to escape a theft attempt in the early 80’s. I last drove it in parades in 1991 and unfortunately have let it sit in the garage since then. Family is now raised and I have the desire to fix it up. I plan to keep it as original as possible. It will take a lot or work but I think the car is pretty solid. I have enjoyed this site and will post updates on the project.3671AF1C-1577-4F2A-A248-BC6F588EF2DC.jpeg22465510-82B5-429D-A3CD-485AE90CBC41.jpeg

Very cool car man. I love those verts.

Welcome from NC!

Welcome from Canada
That looks to be a very well optioned vert & looks to be in pretty decent shape
Well worth restoring AND keeping it as original as possible.
I look forward to the updates of your resto journey!
Best of luck

Welcome from Illinois and another vert owner. That is a great looking car. However you decide to fix or restore it be sure not to throw anything away.

Welcome from Marysville Ohio - Where in Southern Ohio are you? I grew up around the Waverly/Chillicothe area.

Welcome! That is a nice looking 72 vert.

We have 5 cars in our corral that are all retirement oriented as far as keeping me busy is concerned Luckily Lynda is a Car Chick, especially with Mustangs and Shelbys. I even get to order car parts in her name for some comic relief! heh heh. I am responsible for both Shelby GT500s in our little fleet. But, she found both 73 Mustangs plus a 1997 Honda Del Sol SI sports car! They are all awesome vehicles, and a lot of fun to work on, tinker with, drive, and show.

Welcome! We have two 1973 Mustangs. One is a true Mach 1, the other is a True Survivor Convertible that was barn stored for over 40 years. Both are a joy to tinker with work on, drive, and take to car shows. We did perform a deep re$toration on the Mach 1. But, the vert is in beautiful unrestored condition.
