Thank you your '73' is sweet as well ! How hard was it to install the 71-72 chrome front bumper?
Thank you!
It's not too bad of a job, I used the 71-72 fenders though. There is a thread on here somewhere using the 73 fenders and sectioning the 71-72 bumper brackets to suit. The bumper needs to be about 3/4" lower with the 73 fenders. With the 73 grille it looks good too.

That looks so sharp. I really like how the argent graphics balance with the black top, air dam and wing.
yeah I like it, also ties in with the chrome and black wheels

Thank you!

Thank you for the info.

After much changes of direction my 72 convertible is finally done. I repainted a close to original ivy green with the close to argent accents. It now has a Smedding 427 stroker with a tremec 5 speed and strange 9 inch true trac. It runs strong and sounds great. I have only had it since 1984 so not to bad. Haha My mom was the second owner. She traded in a 1965 GT convertible with every option but the HiPo 289 for it. Augh! But I guess it worked out as I have a great car now.
I love what you have going on with her and hope what I am going to offer is taken as helpful and not negative as I would want a bro to let me know as well.

1) the first thing on her sexy body (like a hottie with too small of a t-shirt, if possible) is the wipers are designed to be hidden so check that your linkage to the passenger side is not backwards and then keep "creeping" down the mini teeth to get them where they belong.

2) is only a "trick" I figured out and has not been brought up at least to me since I joined here... I dig your fab work to strap in the radiator and it looks like it is solid (most importantly) but the peeps that see my 3 core mounting have never noticed that I used 2 right hand brackets to keep it in place and look factory.

3) Again.. I am only offering my HO and love your story and feel bad that you weren't able to still have the GT in the family!

Thanks for the suggestions, I really struggled with the wipers. Gotcha on the other stuff. Is what it is but have great memories of that car. My brother and I used to run hot wheels up the center console from the back seat. It's what got me into this lifestyle

Just to kind of finish the story, I had the rear end narrowed a half inch on each side, disc brakes all around. 255/ 17's in the rear and 235'in the front. Back in the eighties, I found a factory harness for the tach and three gauge panel. I installed those. I decided to move the battery to the trunk and it really cleaned up the engine compartment. I would recommend for restomod builds. Also, I really liked body color engine compartment and it came out great. I get it , a very individual thing. Anyways, it's a torque monster and runs like a scalded cat. No offense to cats. My build, my way and I like it. Hope everyone likes their build as much.
