Hello there,

My name's Nick, 32 yo.
I just joined the forum, mainly for three reasons:
  1. I always loved Mustangs (especially 1st and 2nd generations)
I used to own a 77 Mustang II (best daily driver I ever had) and since 2017, I have a 66 coupe (with a loooooot amount of work!)
  2. I read on different website that the community here is a good one (from what I read, I can confirm!)
  3. I'm currently looking for information about the '71 Mach 1 from James Bond 007 Diamonds are Forever
I try to find what were the Mustangs used for the filming and what they have become. I made some research and learned that one or two members of the forum already investigate on this subject and have made some interesting discoveries.
So, here am I.

Oh, and something else, I'm from the Beaujolais region, in France.

Hello nick , bonjour de la région parisienne , the people here are great and know a lot of stuff

Welcome to the forum Nick! Salut de Miami! Glad to know there's a Mustang running around the beautiful Beaujolais region. There's good info on those links from Kilgon. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Wow thank you for your warm welcome!

Hello Nick, welcome to the forum. Are you also looking to own a 71 Mack 1?
Honestly, I'd love to own another Mustang (in addition to my 66 coupe) but for that, I need to finish my current restoration (that is excessively expensive). When I'll get my car back and save enough money for 1/ drive as much as possible with my 66 (the gasoline here exceeds 2 euros the liter since a few weeks :() and 2/ think about acquiring a new project car, that will be a sportsroof, either a '69 Mustang, or a red '71 Mach 1 (same as Diamonds are Forever), or maybe a yellow '71/'73 Mach 1 (like in 60 seconds chrono).
BUT, prices have skyrocketed in recent times. It remains to be seen whether they will come down with the increase in fuel prices... For example, in France, you have no sportsroof under 35000 or 40000 euros. Wait and see...

Bonjour dkgd91! Content de voir qu'il y a d'autres français dans le coin ;).

Hello and welcome from SW Ontario, Canada.
A Google search turned up most of the info listed in that thread. Perhaps try that.
If you find out info we don't already know or have, please post it.

Thank you Stanglover.

Google is good help, but honestly, it is necessary to sort ou the results, and not only a little. We read everything and anything. I'm in the process of compiling everything I find in a table to compare the results, check their reliability, and move forward in my research.

But of course, I will post a synthesis of my work once I have convincing results. Forums are not just for taking, but also for giving.
