I would Google:

1972 Mustang 302 engine

and compare a bunch of pics. It looks about right.
 
You should be good as long as the car wasn't equipped with the NOx Emissions system, which would have had the cold air intake and flex duct. The 72 changed to the smaller diameter 14" housing and had an extension to place the snorkel back over the heat stove. I'm not sure where you can get the correct style 2 3/4" diameter hot air tube. I have a 71 302 air cleaner with a similar snorkel, but it doesn't have the welded in extension as it's 17".
