Hi,
i'm looking for a convertible top boot for my 1972 pony, can you recommend something in particular?

Thanks René

I have a yellow 73 vert and have the original top boot. I think the car looks a lot better without the boot than with the boot. For whatever reason, the boot hiding the convertible top just doesn't present as nice as the top folded down.

Just my opinion . . .

73, that’s an interesting take as I feel like when the cover isn’t on she looks incomplete and I’m not respecting her. Personally, I love the look of having it on and it not being perfect, but perfect enough for how she was born 50 years ago and still the original.

But the price difference between TMI and Industries is huge, I wonder why?

Tell me where you got the flag from ?

I got the less expensive and it does not fit well at all. Tried numerous attempts to form it correctly. The issue is location between the button clips is not correct. Also the plastic lips that tuck the aluminum frame are too short where the buttons are located. I really hate it when I drive it flaps around.

Those are Piggly Wiggly specials and barely make it through the 4 day Holiday weekends when I tape them on!

All the boot covers have had over the year were factory. Whichever one you pick make sure has the two foam rubber pads that are attached to the underside of the. Boot cover and sit over the roof lockdown hook area.20230409_184239.jpg

What size are these two foam rubber pads ?
Yes, I very interested in the dimensions as well. I need to replace mine, I have a nice black boot and it appears to be correct and fits the car very well. But doesn’t have the padding any longer. If it’s a repro it’s an older one.

Upon further review, mine is an older TMI repro. It has a smaller square of material glued into the corners but no foam. I have the rough dimensions and a good photo from one of Rich’s post in another thread but I would love to know the trimmed down dimensions.IMG_2454.png
