I'm currently running this same intake. Once I'm satisfied with tune, I'm planning to test a Blue Thunder and Air Gap for comparison. The intake shootout doesn't have much nice to say about this intake but it's got great hood clearance and it looks good.

This intake was low enough for my stock ram air, yet perfect for my cam's rpm range. I think I ran the Comp cams thumper @ 290 duration and @ 5.15 lift. This thing isn't even fine-tuned yet and still has the crappy 3.25 gears in it and it will roast the tires. I wouldn't change it unless the RPM range doesn't match your cam profile. I picked this cam profile since it was the closest thing to a friend's Echlin cam from days gone by. It performed excellent with 10 1/2 1 comp and a bit of gear.
Mine is running a very old Crane Hi Intensity grind with similar specs as yours and also 3.25 gears (for now). Mine also roasts the tires This was a combo I built when I was 18 (1986). I had either an inferior set of valves or defective (my father had them tested at a lab where he worked) and dropped an intake about 1/2 way through a 500 mile break in. I've put the combo back together and will time it with a reasonably good tune, then move on to modern intake & cam alternatives.
