    UCA Shim vs Caster

Had my 2 3/4 inch grade 8 bolt tack weld it in, didn’t have hardly any positive caster at all , I ended up getting 3) 1/8 shims in the front and one in the back. My ride height from spindle to top of flair is 12 3/4”,kind of low and my lower control arm eccentric eliminator is an almost as far...

    Door glass alignment

I have experienced this on my convertible. Mine is from frame sag. Frame has sagged and windshield leaning towards driver, alignment to wind shield throws out alignment to 1/4 window. My door jamb is nice except for where it meets the sill, the gap is larger at the front bottom. Had to adjust...

    Higher rated stock spring

Whenever I wanted to lower the car a certain amount I would just measured down that far on the spring overall length with the tape measure and cut. usually on the money. After taking one and a half coils out the front end bottoms out and is really springy, even with stiff shocks. It feels as if...

    Higher rated stock spring

Thanks for your spindle to flare measurement. Would a 1” lowering spring have a progressive rate you think? I guess if I get the nod springs I’ll measure down 1” and make a cut should be close for 1st try

    Higher rated stock spring

McKay Noris they put their name on auto parts, I use some rod & main bearings in my Cleveland and they didn’t hold up very long under 12.8 to 1 compression!

Thanks for that part number, I’ll order soon. Would you have a spindle to flair measurement so I know if I have to cut them. Thanks

    Higher rated stock spring

From spindle to top of flair I am 12 inches in the front and 13 1/2 inches in the rear. This measurement rules out tire size.

    Higher rated stock spring

71 vert with 302, new springs with 1 1/4 coil cut off. Need more spring rate to prevent bottoming, 351 or 429 spings, which one for street car?

    front brake drum hubs

while doing maintenance on front bearings, found that my outer race is spinning in the hub and has at least .005 slop. 70-73 large bearing hubs are not available. I was told 64-67 hubs can work by using their race and using the larger i.d. 71 bearing. can anyone confirm this?                    ...

Any Holley Ultra Double Pumper Guru's ?

you may still need to lean out idle circuit, insert a strand of copper wire about .010 dia. 1/2" long bent like letter J and slide long end into idle feed jet in the metering block. this will have a noticeable effect on idle and cruise mix. i remember on my 429 that .013 wire dia. was too lean...
