Guys,
Just digging up an old thread and thought I would share what I found.
I have been chasing an intermitant issue with my Motorcraft 4300 (square bore) for a few months now.
It would start up fine and run with no issues. Then I head out on the highway and after a number of K's down the road...
Hey Gang,
When I got my 72 Mach1 I also received a bunch of original documents such as registration cards, Owner card/ Warranty ID card with the metal ID info on it, User manual etc.
I also received this clear plastic bag with a hole at the top in the middle that has a Ford logo and blue writing...

On a few of the cars the stripe in front of the front wheel (the hockey...
At some point my July 72 Gold Glow Mach 1 received a doors closed blow over acrylic paint job. (fortunately the same colour as factory).

This is how I rebuilt mine. https://72mach1mustang.blogspot.com/2023/07/window-winder-handles.html
Mine is a 72. Fortunately the handles were in good shape..
Basically I bought 73 window winder handle that have the knobs installed. I then removed the knobs and reinstalled them on my original 72...
I could not find any repro seal kits for the non AC heater box.
I ended up driling out the rivets that hold the metal backing on, then replaced the core and made my own seals.
I went to the local hardware store and bought some high density foam and made my own gaskets.
Here is a link to a few...
