$300+ pc of plastic arrived. Finishing touches on a 73 to 71 bumper conversion

Here is my '73 with1 71/72 chrome bumper. I take no credit though as the shop that did most of the work did it. They didn't even blink an eye with my request. I did make one mistake though when I told them what decal to use. I should have gone with the hockey sticks.

    71-72 bumpers on a 73

Here is a '71 bumper installed on a '73 with the rest of the parts (other than the bracket) being '73. There are gaps, but I am fine with it as-is. They put on the wrong stripe kit, but I will deal with that later if I choose to.

    Added retractable 3 point belts

On the Vert, you have to make a bracket that fits just below that screw above that goes through the rear window trim/windlace. The bracket looks like a "T" with the seat belt pivot bolting on the a shaft that goes through the metal and rear quarter interior trim. The 3-pt kits do come with a...

    73’ Convertible Front Bumper

The brackets for the '71-'72 are different. It will not be as easy as just taking off one bumper and putting on the other. Oh yea, the name of the shop is ForgeSpeed in Mooresville, NC.

    73’ Convertible Front Bumper

I had my '73 Front Bumper swapped for a '71. I did not do it myself, but had the restoration shop that was doing a lot of other work do that at well. You could call them and ask what was involved, but I do not think they did much, if any fabrication. I think they did have to find a way to...

    Convertible Top Switch

what is the easiest way to get back behind the switch? Can you reach it from under or do I have to remove stuff? If so, what all needs to be removed?

    Convertible Top Switch

I think my switch for my top might have failed. It is very loose feeling when trying to toggle and top will not go up or down. I have also heard these newer switches are crap. The one in there now was replaced about a year ago and it was the second new switch we tried as the first was no...

Sound off if you have a convertible

1973, Originally a 351, now a 347 from Prestige Motorworks in Charlotte, NC. Red/White Interior when I got it, now Ford Redfire Metallic, black TMI interior, black top. Bowler Automatic Transmission. TCP coilovers up front, 4 wheel disc, Multiport EFI

    Springs or coil overs?

I put the TCP coilovers on the front of my '73 Vert.  It handles great, much better than before.  I also put the TCP front anti-sway bar, the TCP tie rods, the TCP struts and the TCP "engine bay jungle gym" as the guy at the shop calls it.  The steering was "refreshed" with a new gearbox, new PS...

    ‘71 Trunk Letter Spacing

Can anyone tell me the spacing on the block letters that go across the trunk that spell out “M U S T A N G”?  How far from the center of one letter to the center of the next?  Knowing that, I can wheel off the “T” in the center.  Alternatively, how far from the center of the “M” to the center of...
