Yeah. I will just need to figure it out. Need to get my vert done, then redo all the suspension rubber on Mexican car and THEN build a table for the basket case vert.....then I can sort the Torino.

A VERY knowledgeable Torino friend asked me about the speedo. He was thinking the cop Torinos came with a 140 speedo and they are crazy rare. All indications are it is the original speedo (one year only, 71 includes a 5 and 115, 70 does not).

PO painted it black. It was yellow when he got it but there is evidence the yellow was a repaint (yellow paint on door weatherstrip), Eventually I will pull a door panel and hope to see what the color was. Black was a regular option in 70 from what I saw.

Power disc

Carb needs rebuild and apparently the parking brake is stuck per the inspector. It still passed the safety inspection today so it now has plates. Brakes are acting more like manual brakes but it they are power. Power seat only seems to work going forward. Nonstandard power seat button...

Tell me about it. It is very cramped right now. I can't even get to the passenger side of the torino with the garage door closed. I have a power washer and some other items stacked up behind the car! I already put 4 fenders and a cupla other items in the basement

Got the car this morning. First thing on the list is sorting the brakes.....they seem a bit weak and somewhat spongy. I also need to do a thorough functional check.

I am partial to the Magnums but they have Chevy SS centers. I already bought repop Torino centers. I would consider steel but I need to finish up some other things before I sink a bunch of money into the Torino.

It was bought by the owner of a construction company as a company car to shuttle customers around (current owner worked for the guy and drove customers to and from the airport). It is somewhat sentimental to the current owner (soon to be former). He was keen to know the car was not going to be...

Have you removed a door panel or door sill and pulled up the carpet? I am always curious about special paints.

Let's keep the motivation going! I have a not quite as long term project that is very close to being on the road for the first time in maybe 30 yrs (I have had it for at least 28 yrs).....so what do i do? Get a complete basket case vert as the next project! Too bad ur not closer to me!
