I may have just enough room to R&R the Tranny but I agree with Transmission guy that I may avoid a lot of problems by paying the extra $800 usd and have the Tc shop take it out and put it in. The only concern is, the shop is in a really bad section of town.

I agree. This project is already getting way out-of-hand. One problem is, most Transmission shops do not want to do it.

I was concerned about getting it high enough. I have steel ramps that are 9.5 inches high. Is that high enough? By taking the tranny out myself I am saving $800 USD and towing charge. I just hope I can do it correctly.

I wish but I think this one is beyond repair. The gaps are 5mm wide. I am a bit surprised that aftermarket replacements are not readily available. Definably a market for them but no suppliers.

I have a '73 with blue interior. Almost done with the inside except for the two-spoke steering Wheel. It is in bad shape !! cracks, gaps etc. Is there any place round that has original type wheels in blue colour? TNX Roy

TNX, The foam is plenty dear.  Cost more than the upholstery.  Whew !!! Did you have an upholstery shop do it or did you do it yourself?

I have been trying to order the TMI Foam but there are several flavors to choose from.  There is "Sport", "Premium" but no description of what the differences are.      I need a standard, factory foam.  Original reproduction.  Not anything special. Any advice?
