Slowest resto ever - Project AmsterFoose / Current subject: The roof

That's a good job to have done. I understand the frustration with amount of time this work takes. Keep up the good work!

    Underbody Dimensions

I installed the NPD rear frames on my car. I purchased them in 2013. I hope they have improved the quality. I also replaced the full trunk at the same time. Here is a link to my frame rail install. https://7173mustangs.com/threads/ia-riders-73-mach-project.13885/page-2

Digital Dash and new wiring harness question

I have also contacted Dakota Digital on the console gauges. If they get enough people contacting them about this option they might offer it someday.

    1971 Mach 1 7.3 gas 10r80

Most are locking the VCT and doing away with the variable displacement oil pump. That oil pan will likely have to go or risk dragging it on the ground. Ford has a controller for the 7.3 and 10r140. I think it keeps VCT in place?

Would you buy a 71-73 again?

If I had it do over I would have bought a 69-73 with less rust.

What Powertrain for My 73 Mustang Convertible?

I think the 2.0 ecoboost would be an interesting and awesome swap. Do your research if you decide to go this way. I made the decision to go with a 7.3 godzilla in my 73 mach 1 project. I am finding the aftermarket is starting to offer some swap solutions but the prices are very high and will...

    IA Rider's 73 Mach Project

Starting to look like a car again. With the help of my son and grandson we mocked up the hood, fenders and doors before I cut out the LH B-pillar and q-panel to verify everything still lines up. Then with the help of a friend who stopped by finagled the new q-panel into place. Unfortunately the...

Finally finished up the LH front frame / torque box / firewall repair. After I welded in the frame repair I reinforced the patch on the inside (no pictures). The LH B-pillar will be replaced next.

    Frame jig questions

The overall length is 159". As you can see in these pics it could be 3" shorter in the rear but if you plan to use the farthest forward bumper mounting hole it will need to be about 11" longer in the front.

    IA Rider's 73 Mach Project

I bought the car 30 years ago just before I started dating my wife so the car is kind of special to both of us. Before I started tearing the car apart I asked the wife if we should sell it or fix it up. She wanted it fixed up now she complains that I spend more time with the car than her lol...
