    72 Mustang AM/8Track speaker issues

Yeah i tried basic electronic cleaner an then made the trip to our shop a picked up some DeoxIT there, neither had any effect. And the music sounds exactly how it was before from what i can tell. It is the original factory AM/8track radio.

    72 Mustang AM/8Track speaker issues

Yeah, after spending a few hours doing some tests that’s what I’ve narrowed it down to. I hardly ever find a reason to balance my speakers between left a right, so i made a splitter wire that goes to both speakers using the driver side speaker power wire. Seems to work good, an can’t foresee any...

    72 Mustang AM/8Track speaker issues

On my 72 mustang I have good sound out of my driver speaker, but my passenger speaker only works at max volume, left/right speaker balance works as it should and doesn't change the issue. I’ve put a test light to the wires an there is no power to the speaker until the volume reaches a certain...

    1972 351c 2V Automatic-Park Idle Speed

Hey y’all, have another question concerning my 1972 mustang. Finishing up with my adjustments to close the hood on the project. It shows Idle Speed in Drive should be 575, which I have set. In park, it idles around 750-800rpm, wanting to confirm if that’s about right an compare to what others...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Here is the final update, sometime has passed now, and i believe the issue is solved. Starts right up an runs with no leaks, can fire it up anytime with no problems. Idle RPMs are fluctuating a bit more than it should, so still have to make a couple of adjustments. But overall things look...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

I like that idea, I’ll give that a try first. And an update from yesterday, i took the carb off took it apart an checked the float which was slightly on the high side, so i adjusted it down. Then checked the power valve which i believe i over tightened because the gasket around it was saturated...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Also, it’s funny you mention that, because I just noticed the other day that someone had already broken off 1 of the screw heads to the vacuum advance lol. I’ll have to remove the distributor an drill it out an retap it. Not much left to grab on to.

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Here in a little bit I’m gunna go out and take the carburetor off an check it over for some of issues that y’all have suggested. While I’m out there i wanted to look over the vacuum advance. I have a quick question on that now since i won’t have signal out there. Right now the way I’m set up...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Boiler, the point plate likely does need removed and cleaned. And also like the others have said, I’ll have to get the carb off and check it over to diagnose the fuel leak. It’s a very subtle leak, just running down the side, had a hard time telling if was 100% coming from boosters, it was just...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

The carb is a Motorcraft 2100-D. I’m not sure if the gasket is the issue, havnt had a chance to take it apart, but you’re right that it may not be a gasket. I’ll try looking at the float level this week and check what c9zx suggested earlier. Maybe the power valve? Put a new one from the rebuild...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Like to thank y’all for all the advice and info up to now. I’m kicking myself right now…I won’t say i found the issue YET, because each time i say that it proves me wrong. I started the car up before work, ran it a little bit an shut it down. Took a quick look at the carb an with some better...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Rvrtrash- Shaft has a little play, may need to address that soon, but the dwell angle stays steady at about 27degrees with very little fluctuation. Idaho Chris- I have 2 condensers, 1 of them new an testing with a multi meter both seem to be good. I’ve swapped back and forth with no change...

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Thanks! I’ve looked the cap over, but I’ll check it again to be sure. Might have a used one somewhere that i can test with.

    1972 351c 2v, intermediate start/rough running

Hey this is my first post on this forum, I’ve posted this issue in another and they’ve helped but it’s been several weeks and ideas are starting to run thin. I’ll list off everything I can remember doing an confirmed is correct. I have a 72 mustang with a 351c 2v project that was my fathers, he...
