Selling a pair of new old stock fiberglass fenders I was planning to put on my '71 but never got around to. They're brand new and in very good shape. One has slight damage on one of the corners where the front trim around the grille attaches because of being moved around over the years. Very...
Ok, I'll just buy those sockets new if they're that cheap.
That's the steering wheel I have. Can't find any decent horn buttons for it and the wheel itself is very worn and has a few cracks so I'd like to just get another wheel.
The ones I'm talking about are the ones mounted on the fenders just ahead of the front wheels. The housings I have are in good shape but the sockets that the bulbs plug into stopped clicking into place and they keep falling out and dragging on the ground
Looking for a cheap steering wheel with working horn button for my '71 convertible. My horn button stopped working and my wheel is very worn so I want to replace it. It's also a Boss wheel so I can't find an affordable replacement horn button. Looking for anything that fits- stock or aftermarket...
I'm definitely going to be beefing up the shock mounts when I put the air shocks in. I'm not planning on using them often but it would be nice to have them if I have to haul anything.
Still looking for lift shackles. Maybe someone took a set off their car and isn't going to reuse them?
Pm sent.
I'm also going to need a compressor/ controller setup if anyone has one of those too, hopefully cheaper than the $150 I can get one for on Amazon
Title says it all. Looking for a set of lift shackles and air shocks/compressor/lines for my '71 Convertible as cheap as possible. I want to get that 70's style rake and the air shocks for some hauling and light towing. Also have original console and misc other parts to possibly trade (I'll make...
I decided to go with the stock 4 leaf springs and a set of air shocks and lift shackles when I find them for cheap. I think I'll post a wanted ad for some cheap used parts. I also found a really cheap complete suspension from a '68 close by and I was wondering if the springs would fit.
Geoff, I forgot you can get lift shackles. Then I can go with the 5 leaf springs and those shackles and get exactly what I wanted. Thanks! And they put trailer hitches on these cars back in the day, why not now? I got an NOS one for a '67 that looks like it'll fit
So it turns out hauling 15 outboard motors in a '71 convertible isn't great for the suspension (who would have guessed?) and my leaf springs are flattened now... I'm definitely replacing them asap but looking for recommendations. I'd like a heavier duty spring in case I haul stuff around again...
I called Lares, and they actually don't make new boxes, just modify the originals like on powersteering.com, and they're about $200 through Rockauto, so I'm definitely going with their conversion and probably one of their rag joints to go along with it. They normally have the reconditioned...
I did a little more research and it looks like Lares sells a 10:1 quick ratio box (some say it's actually 12:1) for about $200, so I think I'll probably go with that, plus the pieces that go with it. Planning on calling them up and double checking everything will fit and what parts I'll need to...
