    Rear Sway Bar

In my case with that bar there was going to be contact with the exhaust. The exhaust on the car was fabricated and installed before I got it and when it did not have a rear bar. Since I intended to increase the pipes to 2 1/2" I decided to just remove the over axle pipes. The bar certainly can...

    Rear Sway Bar

That extra 1/8” actually results in a bar almost 50% stiffer than a 1”. A little depends on the arm length, but for the most part 45ish%, or a little more, stiffer. That is certainly noticeable. Same is true front or rear.

    Rear Sway Bar

This is a good combo for a relatively stock suspension. When adding a 7/8” rear bar it’s a good idea to increase the size of the front bar. Going with just the rear bar you will have more oversteer than you would want, especially if you are on the throttle early on exit from a corner.

    351 Cleveland Build

I am using Howards hydraulic roller cam retrofit kit pt# HRCCL233215-10. Intake lift .571, exh .577, intake duration 270, exh 278, 110 degree lobe separation. It's not an overly aggressive cam. I didn't want to go to a non-stock stall converter at this time so this should be good for my...

    351 Cleveland Build

Same TFS 195cc 62cc chamber roller cam heads for me for much the same reasons. Worth the money in my view. The motor will go together in March when the cam gets here. Should be an easy 400+hp and very street friendly. Rob

    351 Cleveland Build

Since we're talking rocker arms, I've just received my TFS roller cam heads. I was going to keep it simple by using their recommended roller rockers part number TFS-53400621 (1.73 Ratio). Any idea if these are also the correct geometry? Also, I see two part numbers at Summit for Harland Sharp...

Deluxe Dash Bezel on a Standard Dash?

Thanks Hemikiller. I will probably attempt that. I’m well into replacing the heater core at the moment. What a pain. Given I don’t drive the car between October and May I should have reconsidered the necessity. Rob

Deluxe Dash Bezel on a Standard Dash?

Has anyone tried attaching the deluxe passenger side dash bezel onto a standard dash surface? I have a deluxe bezel I would like to use since the rest of the interior was converted to deluxe before I bought the car. It looks like the deluxe dash has mounting holes in the face of the dash but I...

    Happy Christmas 2023/24

Merry Christmas to everyone and their families! The forums were very helpful this year. Thanks everyone. This winter is a dash refresh and door panels. And in spring the motor. Christmas came early and my heads arrived ahead of schedule. 😊 Rob

Garage storage during the East Coast Winter questions?

Really no need to heat the garage. Cold in and of itself will not be a problem. I’ve winter stored dozens of cars. Here is my list: Oil change. Fill the tank and add fuel stabilizer. Ensure antifreeze will stand up to the Expected temps. Pull the battery and bring it inside, or put it on a...

Parts Wanted Inner Fender Coil Guard

To answer the question, ”is it important?” Yes it is. It provides important structural rigidity to the shock tower as well as locates the bump stop. Either factory ones (which can be had as repros) or something fabricated like the Global West ones (which I didn’t know about and look great)...

    What headers are people using?

Thanks for the great input. The path is a little clearer. Looks like Hooker 6915HKR is the way to go with the 4v heads and with aftermarket heads with the 2v sized ports I have a choice between Hooker or Hedman. Guess I need to make that call first and then choose whether to commit to the long...

    What headers are people using?

Shopping for headers. The application is a 72 with 351C, 4V heads, FMX automatic, PS and PB. The car is also fairly low (as seen in my avatar). My preference would be long tubes. I know the FPA headers seem to be the gold standard for fitment. But they will be over $2500 CDN to my door and the...

    Dash lights

Thanks. Kinda thought so, but better to check before rather than after everything is back together again.
