    351C motor rebuilt

Hi guys, today my old 351C 2V engine needs a serious rebuilt. My car is 72 CJ Grande, it had a 351C 4V CJ motor from the factory but this motor was swapped years ago for a 2V motor coming from a 72 Ranchero. The C6 trans was swapped for a C4, which has been changed a few years ago for a brand...

Stance problem, too low in the rear

The springs are brand new, but they are BOSS 351 springs (stiffer than the regular Grande springs) so I think that's why my car was a bit too low in the rear. I'm really happy with the ride height now, looks perfect !

Need new carb ! :) Mechanical secondaries

Hello guys, now is the time to change my carb for a new one. My actual carburetor is a Holley 4150, 600 cfm, square bore, vacuum secondaries. It's mounted on my stock 351C 2V and flows through a Weiand Xcelerator single plane intake. It actually runs well but I'd like to have more control on...

    New power steering box ?

Thanks a lot for helping, I've been very busy these times. I just checked and the number of lock-to-lock turns is 3-1/8. Will THIS mount on my Mustang ? http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=276539+01 Or maybe this one ...

    C4 : No kick down !

The C4 trans in my Mustang has been changed a few years ago before I bought the car. My car doesn't have a kick down, there is no linkage between the trans and the carb, and it seems the trans doesn't even have the "connection" for the kickdown. Is it possible to "add" a kickdown with this kit...

Stance problem, too low in the rear

Just received the new shackles and mounted them, the car now sits perfect, I love it ! :) And those Boss 351 leaf springs are really cool, they provide modern handling !

Stance problem, too low in the rear

Thanks everyone, I found a pair of used adjustable shackles, they should do the job fine. I can't really lower the car more in the front because of the headers. Here in Europe we have to drive on some worn out roads, nothing comparable to the american roads unfortunately. I used to have the...

Stance problem, too low in the rear

The front is already lowered a bit :) (cut front springs and polyurethan spacers) Lowering more in the front may be bad for ground clearance as i use long tube headers. IMO lowered cars look really good with big rims, but not that much with the standard 14 or 15 inch wheels. I like the...

Stance problem, too low in the rear

Thanks for your answers ! Doesn't a spacer between the spring and axle lower the car instead of lifting it ?? I found this shackle kit that looks good ...
