    Removing hood springs

I had to take the hood off then take the hinge off. I needed a wood pallet but I didn’t have one so I used a fold up metal chair. I laid the hinge down and attached a ratchet strap and started clicking it stretched the spring and I lined it up with the groves on the new hinges. At that time I...

    OEM AM/FM radio repair

Is it am or am-fm? I repaired an am-fm that I bought for parts, even though my car came factory am. Have you opened it? You might get lucky and have a broke solder joint.

    Going dead at 80 mph

Perhaps the water came from the canister. The charcoal was wet and mushy and the car set outside for the three years I tried to buy it.

I haven’t ran ethanol in this car. I’m quite content with 90 octane. We have 93 if I want to drive 15 miles but 90 is 5 minutes down the road. For a H code engine it does really good. I don’t know how black charcoal makes white junk but it do.

That white junk came from fuel canister. Charcoal broke down from being wet. Turned to mush and made white junk. Only found out by blowing on line from canister made white junk come out large hole in middle of canister.

I haven’t ever ran corn gas. We have very good real gas here. Gas is white reminds me of Amoco in the 70s.

    Going dead at 80 mph

Well it only took two years to finally correct my going dead at top end. I tried everything from coil, 12 volts on the coil, power valve, jets, add electric fuel pump, blow out the fuel lines, then thought plug wire, or maybe cam and springs were doing it. Once I didn’t have a plug wire seated...

    Going dead at 80 mph

I have installed a tach so now I can monitor my rpm range. I’ve also made great improvement with a simple fix. I reseated my factory look plug wires in the distributor. I couldn’t see or feel a problem but one or more must have been unseated. I’ve hit 90 mph without a miss. The engine turns...

I used the standard ole clamps. Is that a gear clamp? Also I just used regular hose I so far haven’t used corn gas.
