Will 15x8 Repop magnum 500s fit on all four corners of our cars?

I run the all Aluminum American Racing Equipment 15×8 (245-60) front and 15x10 (275-60) rear. Front is lowered 1". No rust or peeling to worry about but need polished on ocassison.
Those look great, do the mustang center caps fit on them?

Is there a specific brand that you know of that I should go with or stay away from when I purchase.
Based on my own personal experience, i went for the Wheel Vintiques 54 Series Magnum 500 rims. (see my link below)

These rims fit the bill for me and i would give them the thumbs up. The chrome finish on them is not premium, but satisfactory. I have had one or two minor issues with the finish over the years, but that was to do with how the metal was finished off prior to the chroming process. They exchanged those rims without any fuss. My chrome has lasted well over a 10 year period so far. I do take care of my chrome wheels by using a house barrel style duster to dry rub them down after every ride. This ensures that any dry dirt or brake lining dust is kept off the chrome surface, which contributes to the chome finish breaking down. I also regular wax the rims. Chrome loves wax to keep it in good condition from premature aging/ rusting.

Regards other brands - it's a try and see situation for people out there. I can't speak from experience here, as i have never ventured away from the Wheel Vintiques brand. The general rule of thumb is the cheaper the rim, the cheaper the chrome finish and overall quality.

I have had wheel vintiques wheels on my other cars and have had good luck with them so far thanks

I have 8" magnums on the front with BFG P225/60R 15's with no problems. I also have Wheel Vintiques 15x10's on the back with the BFG 295/50R15 fatties on the back. You have to lose the rear sway bar if you want to run those, but they don't stick out and look pretty cool. You need a bit of a lift to avoid rubbing on the rears though. I had no trouble with the pony center caps.

Very nice! Thanks for the pics

Make sure to check your backspacing. I went with 16x8 with 4.5" backspacing. On the front, my rim would rub on the upper control arm when turning. I had to use some spacers and longer wheel studs. If I had been on 15x8, that would have been my rubber side wall rubbing.

Yes they will shouldn't be a problem at all.

I am trying to determine what size wheels and tires I am going to get. I have seen the 15x8 Magnums and I like the look of them. My 14x7s are heavily pitted and will need to be replaced when the restoration is completed, and I think the 15 inch wheels look better.
I like the look of the 15x8 Magnums but I also want all four wheels tire to be the same size. What is the largest wheel and tire that will fit in the front of our cars?
I have seen guys on this site mention they have 15x8 or 15x10 rear wheels but I haven't seen anyone detail they have 15x8s in the front.
If anyone has pictures of their car with the 15x8s on it I would appreciate if they could post some. Thanks
I have 15x8 Magnum 500's on my 73 Mach-1 with 4-1/2" backspacing. I run P245/60R15's Cooper Cobra's on the front and P275/60R15's on the rear. I have no rubbing issues but the front tires come very close (like 1/8") to the the lowest part of the front fender wheel opening in front of the tire when I turn lock-to-lock. But that's the only time they come close to rubbing anything. I do have 5-leaf rear springs that positioned the car at a nice stance without pitching the front nose down.

I put 15x8's (4.5" backspace) all the way around on mine. P245/60R15's on front and P275/60R15's on the rear with no rubbing anywhere. I also replaced my sagging 4-leafs on the rear with a set of Scott Drake 5-leafs (195 Lb. spring rate) and I love the way it rides now and its stance looks good to me.

I've heard the Mustang caps will work with some tweaking, but I never tried.
Not to change the subject too much. I recently had to install a new wheel ( from CJPony, 15 / 7", 4.25 backspacing for 235/60-15 tires) and also had to install a new cap. The original cap with the prongs had broken.

The repro caps come with a disk that goes inside the wheel with 4 screws that hold the outside part. It might have just be me, but it seemed that with the new wheel the disk part didnt fit quite right into the center of the wheel. The original magnum 500's had a little recess in the end that fit the disk and the repro wheel didnt seem to thave that.
It seemed like the grease dust cap was hitting it when I put the wheel back on.

I dont know if all aftermarket magnum 500's are like that or it was something I was doing wrong or just an issue with using the repro wheel cap or even if anyone else has had the same issue.

Just something to be aware of when buying new wheels and / or the Mustang caps.
