To my point above , I would just ask this one question of you folks who are left of center. Why is it OK for you to say or do anything, including violence, but the minute a person who is right of center says anything that you don’t believe in, you immediately tell them to shut up and just take it?

Actually, I disagree, why do you want to stifle free speech? This is the new mantra of the left, you can’t say anything that we don’t agree with, or you’ll hurt our feelings, Most of us who are leaving the blue states, or Canada for that matter, are fleeing exactly the things that Mrgmgale referred to. Ironically, and unfortunately, some of those leaving are also leaving for the same reasons, high taxes, over bearing regulation, etc., yet want to bring those same problems to the red states we’re running to. Can’t you just stay where you are and be miserable, there? (or happy, your choice) You people made it that way, so revel in it, and leave us alone. He was not being a crybaby, he was stating facts as he sees them. If those things don’t bother you, then stay in your blue state. Or in your case stay in Canada. But for those of us who have deep ties in a red state, that used to be purple or blue when we made those strong ties, it is very difficult for us to leave, no matter how much we may want to. In my case I have a very successful business that I worked very hard at for 50 years, +6 beautiful grandchildren. I already own a beautiful waterfront lot for the last 18 years in Port Charlotte Florida which we would love to build on, (well it was beautiful before Ian, we’ll see what comes now ), but don’t want to leave our families, and I don’t have a succession plan for my business yet, but I’m working on it. I think it’s completely wrong to state that we can’t talk about our reasons for leaving, just because it’s for ideological reasons instead of say, weather or health related. It doesn’t make it wrong or right , it just means he would love to leave New York for his own reasons. It might be hard for you to understand because you’re happy with those regulations and other restrictions being put on you on a daily basis, but for those of us who don’t want that life, we’re not being crybabies, we’re just want to go where we feel comfortable and can be happy. We don’t fault you for staying where you’re happy, (please by all means stay there), so don’t fault us for wanting to move to get away from what makes you happy. For those same reasons that he mentioned I would love to leave Connecticut, but right now it’s just not in the cards. But it will happen, And then my wife and I can be happy as well. After all, isn’t that what we all want, to be happy?
I stand by my original comment.
I don't think JohnJ moved to S Carolina for political reasons. If he did, then that's his business.
Let's just keep OUR forum for Mustangs. That is what will bring us together, no politics, no division. Now let's move on.
