Congrats! What a long strange trip it's been... to this point!
Right? I haven't mentioned the full extent of back and forth with TMI once it was confirmed the first set was wrong and they wanted to make sure the second set was done correctly. Photos, a fedex and many convos... Ah, what we do for our cars.

New seat covers with Comfortweave have arrived - Again!

At last... my seat covers have come. Correct, this time. This is for the back seat. Sweet!
They look fantastic, hope to see them after the installation đź‘Ť . If I may be so bold to ask, when all is said and done could you please post your bill of materials for the whole upholstery job front and rear? I too have that same interior and hope to renew it next spring/summer. Thanks
Bryan

Will the heated seats require a stronger alternator?
They only draw 10 amps, so I don't expect it to be a problem but one of my first upgrades was a 100-amp alternator.

having just scored some original Comfort weave, that actually breaths, I am very impressed with the close up, (read zoomed in) pics of your comfort weave, it looks very authentic, and looks as if it would actually "breath", like the original. Or maybe this was built with NOS (new old stock) material ?

SMS said the Comfortweave weaving machine was being restored and that new material would be made. Delays in delivering product were due to getting the machine reliably restored. I have no way to confirm that and communications with them were difficult enough that I really don't care to find out because I did eventually get what I needed: genuine woven Comfortweave.

I live in the desert and triple degree summer temps are typical, so breathable upholstery was imperative.

Wow, that would be fantastic if it happens !! I spent so little on the covers I bought that have the original comfortweave, that I don't mind waiting if there's any chance of getting my seats done with the correct comfort weave. I've never seen the stamped comfortweave, so I have no idea how accurate, or correct it looks compared to the original, but I'm told it definitely doesn't "breath".

You can tell pretty much if you get a hi-res photo of the "new" Comfortweave and zoom in. It's just molded into a pattern on the solid vinyl, but it is still just solid vinyl.

Gotcha, I've never even seen a picture of the new stuff to do that with though. If anyone has a pic they want to send, I'd be curious to see it.

Ahhh, that's the 1971 style, which was all white with a larger weave pattern. I would be interested to see the 72-73 style with the gray weaved into the white to see how they made that look authentic. Look at the pic of our original 1972-73 CW Comfort Weave below Your black weave has the gray in it as well, so must be the 72-73 style. It also appears to be original material that breaths, so I suspect TMI actually has some of the original material in Black still. They do not have the white, I asked them. They sent me a sample of the 71 style like above, but I don't want it if it's not correct for a 72.
