The 3 gauge pod shields have arrived and look gorgeous. Thank you for a excellent job on these.  Just wanted all folks to know he does GOOD work!!! proud to have them in the car...........well, soon as I get them mounted in there :)

I replaced the ammeter with a Bosch voltmeter, same as the one above. I completely disassembled the Bosch gauge and simply replaced the factory gauge with the 'guts' of the Bosch gauge - no crazy fabrication needed. The big difference I see between mine and the others shown here is the direct mounting of the aftermarket gauges to the 3-gauge cluster trim panel, rather than mounted into a factory 3-gauge cluster which would then be mounted to dashboard, with the trim panel installed over it.

I like how the factory gauge needles swing from above. If you have any details on the Bosch Voltage Meter. What diameter did you use for your adaptation? Looks good and goes well with the OEM's.

Edit: Is this the gauge you used, by chance?

I found a website showing to have that very set in stock but I have a feeling they are just a drop shipper and haven't updated their inventory. I placed the order, so will find out soon enough.

Ah yes, those are what I bought also. Triple gauge set.
Oh and I just noticed something. I installed them with the oil on the right, just like in the picture. On the factory set, the oil is on the left, where it is better suited.

Yes - that's the one. Had I known about the 3-pack, I probably would've just replaced 'em all.
 
I lucked out and found these. I am not good with fabrication though so I’m having a rough go getting them installed. I like the idea of gutting non working stock gauges and refitting with my new ones. This is comparing LEDS to the included incandescent 3F6454F4-204A-4CFA-A109-31EC388505F3.jpeg

What are you using to achieve the blue-green light? I know that some gauges include different color filters, but the ones I've seen slip over the bulb, so that won't work with an LED.
 
I will look up where I got them but they are LEDs. I did the same to the main dash, same look but different bulbs.

Those look good and seem to be a good match on color. I bought mine from HiPo Parts with the natural color and OEM filters. I'll take a look at the bulbs you used when I figure out what I'm going to do with the gauged. At the moment, I have the HiPo LED's.

When I did mine, I actually made up my own lights using HiPo (as always) LED's. I cut up a couple of original blue domes I had on hand. They work ok, but the Bosch gauges are back lit and on one gauge, there seems to be less light showing, however the color is good and matches the rest of the gauges.

The only trick with the dash bulbs I used is that they are polarity sensitive and un-marked. I was able to ID them at work on a power supply. Otherwise they fit well.

I'll have to look into those HiPo leds, I didn't know about them when I got mine.

Both of our 1973 Mustangs (Convertible and Mach 1) had the same instrument panel shown in Grandmas73's post. In our case I not only wanted a brighter display at night, I also wanted analog gauges. I had a few different options available. But, in the end I opted to get the Dakota VHX Analog instrument panel kit, in Carbon Fiber and red illumination, It really turned out nicely for both Mustangs. It is a viable alternative for folks wanting all analog instrumentation, and good visibility. Dakota also has an all digital display panel for vintage Mustangs.
