Hi everyone. I try to do my own research before I ask questions. But on this topic I am finding conflicting advice online.
I am installing new leaf springs on the rear of my ‘71 Mach 1. They are Eaton Detroit springs. The bushings at the top of the shackle will slide in just fine without greasing them. So do the bushings going into the rear spring eye.
Even so, would you recommend I grease the outside of the bushing anyway? Or would you leave them dry since it isn’t needed in order to install them?
Thank you for your help and advice.
