Can anyone look at these pictures and tell if these are 4v or 2v heads? I think they are closed chamber and they have some date codes. I have requested additional pictures of the codes under the intake ports. Seller wants $1200 for the pair is that a good price? Thanks for the help!
Jeff

They are D0AE-N 4V closed chamber heads. I would consider $1,200 on the high side for heads that need machine shop servicing. Have these been checked for cracks? Have the original valves been replaced? Guides and seats? Lots to consider before shelling out the asking price, from my point of view.

I had a set of similar heads I bought for $500 Cdn. or about 450 US at the time. I also bought a set of bare GA heads that were crack checked for 200 Cdn.
If they're selling for 1200 now, damn I wish I'd kept em!
The guy's a dreamer!

Thanks all for the input! I dont know with todays markets if that was resonable or not. NOT!
To me that is 100% insane. These are desirable to a very small market in the scope of all vintage cars. A pair of heads that still need to be gone thru is about $400 a pair, the machine shops generically expect $500 a head to get ready for use aside from parts that may be needed. Years ago I purchased a bare block and a set of those same heads complete were just thrown in as a gift.

1200 + machine work and assembly is a little steep, at what price do you just opt for some aluminum heads. Was in a similar situation so I went with 3v chis and ended up putting double the original cash down the drain

Thank you but I wont be there and I would be stuck at close to the same price for shipping.

3v CHI heads no good?

3V CHIs are regarded as the best aftermarket heads, they are just really expensive and can be hard to get.

I don’t have them yet but I know some people in here have them.
