    Upgrading to Edelbrock Heads/Cam Soon

73 Vert, 351C 4V, 4 Speed, FPA headers, 2.5" dual exhaust, 3.25 rear. So I finally bit the bullet and ordered Eddy heads (non-roller), cam and timing chain/gear set. I ordered an ARP bolt kit and heads, intake, headers gasket set. I also ordered a timing chain gasket and water pump gasket. The...

    F-ing HOA issue!

    Sorry to hear, Bill.

    TV in Dash

Good thinking! Adding the VIN in case anyone ever restores it to original and sells it, the new owner might enjoy it's past life! 1T05H679427

    F-ing HOA issue!

I'd love to see the HOA docs, too. But in the long run, you live in a neighborhood that has a "government." If it were me I'd: 1. Read the HOA docs to see if their claim is defensible. 2. Get a normal car cover. 3. Possibly paint the car (I understand their may be financial issues there...

    Removed the Door Open Buzzer

😂 I meant if anyone needs instructions on disabling. But I see the confusion, now! All good. 😀

    Removed the Door Open Buzzer

I find it unnecessary and easy to remove. I don't consider this a necessary or worthwhile feature on old cars, or new ones. My car is vert. The top is always down. I never lock the doors. I have no idea if the door locks even work. And I almost always leave the keys in the ignition. I live in...

    Removed the Door Open Buzzer

I like it as much as my alarm clock. 😂

    73 CONVERTIBLE BOOT/TONNEAU COVER

I may be an outlier, but my 73 looks better without the cover. I have the original cover and it's 100% functional, but I prefer the folded down look without it. Not to mention, if I park in the sun for a while I always put the top up (without latching) to shade the black interior. This is a 5...

    Removed the Door Open Buzzer

Not for sale. I keep most of the parts I've taken off the car.

    Shorter Antenna?

I park my 73 under a four-post parking lift. It fits great, however the antenna just touches the lift above it. My current antenna is about 31" of actual antenna. This does not include the base or screw. I'm not looking for a tiny whip antenna, however, if anybody is aware of a screw-on...

    Removed the Door Open Buzzer

In case anyone needs this . . . The door buzzer (and seatbelt buzzer) are located above the glove box. You can access the panel that contains those (and other relays) by removing two screws and dropping the metal plate in the picture below. Once you drop that metal plate, a few connectors...

    Hunting a voltage leak

Closing the loop on this . . . . I also replaced the Voltage Regulator harness as the original wasn't a tight fit (you could slide it off with no friction) with a Dorman 85842. The harness has a few extra wires, but fits good. On to the next job (tune up on my kid's 87 300zx)! :)

71 and 72 fenders are different from the 73 fenders.

Yup. It has to do with the 73 impact bumper shape. They are significantly larger than the previous year bumpers.

    Hunting a voltage leak

Replacing the voltage regulator worked. A little frustrating because the one on there is only a couple of years old. I used a Duralast VR730. Note that there are two duralast voltage regulators specified for this vehicle. You need to check your alternator size to be sure you get the right one...

    Hunting a voltage leak

I just ran out to check the condenser. I unplugged it and the draw was still there. Of curiosity, what does the condenser do?

    Hunting a voltage leak

Ok, So I'm still hunting this down. I bought a new meter, my old meter was not reading DC current correctly. The new meter works well and I can tell that I have a draw of 2.6 amps with everything off. It kills the battery in about a day or less. I've gone through the motions of removing all...
