Engine sputters and chokes at part throttle

Prior to changing to my Petronix billet distributor, I had to do the same adjustment on my distributor. It was new points type distributor from rock auto, the adjustment Allen screw was almost all the way in, after a bunch of turns out, the idle was much better. Good luck Tom

    Rear Windshield Help

BFH, off the top of my head, I think I used a a non-hardening rtv that comes in a caulk gun type tube. Either that or window weld but I don't think it was window weld right now. I had both types on the shelf and honestly, I could have ended up grabbing either tube. Good luck. Tom

    Rear Windshield Help

Fabrice, have you tried spraying the blade with WD-40 and then trying to clean the trim? That's what I did and it helped the blade not to get so stuck. After I got the majority off, I used a bent end pick tool to get the trim channels clean. Good luck brother. Tom

    Rear Windshield Help

Fabrice, looks like you have a real mess there brother. For actually removing the glass, when I did it the first time, my seal was very old and I chipped away the seal from the outside of the glass and then gently removed the glass with the seal remaining in the window channel. The windshield...

    Rear Windshield Help

I just removed the rear windshield in my Mach 1 on Friday evening. I only installed it a few months, maybe a year ago and fought to get the stock molding back on properly. I could not get the molding to clip properly so I used window weld to kind of glue it on, but on the two top corners, it...

    What a scam?

I agree Tony, it's a scam. Too good to be true. I ran across the same ad a few years ago "family problems, priced for a quick sale". I did a check and found it listed in multiple sites with different contact numbers and email addresses. BTW, there is a way to trace the poster via his posting...

No brakes or turn signal lights 73 mach 1

Check your connections at the rear harness to the plug connections, I had a similar issue and it just turned out I had to kind of squeeze the harness plug to make a better fit on the lamp plug. Good luck. Tom

    Squirrel Problem

Good luck, I have been lucky and have had no wires or any other parts of my cars chewed on by the squirrels or mice but the squirrels have eaten both my front and back yard bench swing cushions. My wife thought the cushions were just getting worn out until I provided a video of one of the...

    Clunk on front end

Not a lot of time tonight but I was able to drive it in a few circles in my court and around the block and after torquing the pitman and inner tierods down a couple days ago, I heard no knocks on the steering. Now to hopefully get a wheel alignment soon. Pretty happy right now with not having...

Paul, I hope you get yours figured out, I have not used the 1" drop springs yet but have them set out for installation in the next few weeks when I have more time to dedicate to the project. Tom

    New steering and suspension

70cobrasj, if you haven't already, my advice is to change any straight zirk fittings to the 90 or even the 45 degree fittings. it may make life easier for future periodic lube jobs. Tom

Thanks Kcmash, Ribs and Billw69, I forgot to check the torque on the front of the strut rod but will check today (before if I get a chance to test drive, wife has got me busy). Clunk on front end

I haven’t driven it yet but did find that the pitman arm castle nut and inner tie rod nut had loosened and were not torqued properly. I remember now that I ran out of cotter pins during the install. I have torqued everything back down and will be picking up cotter pins in the AM to install...
