If it’s the Barnett racing that I bought my AFD heads off of, I wouldn’t let them build me a tricycle.

That little c4 will take a pounding. Mine has been through 3 different motors in my car and I still shifting great. Started on a stockish 302. Then 400+ho 351c build. Then onto the 408 Stroker with near 600hp. Those little c4 are stout.

I really liked my Scat Stroker kit. Very nice parts.

I sprayed raptor liner in the wheel wells, floor pans and trunk of the 71 I restored. I really like it.

I run NGK plugs in my 408.

Crank and rods caps. Heads and intake. Other than those items not much else.

I went with the slightly thicker custom head gasket from cosmetic to get my squish where we wanted it.

I too installed Hooker long tube headers with manual trans and power steering with no issues.

I wouldn’t just fire up a motor that was built 30 years ago. If it were mine I would tear it down and make sure nothing is stuck and everything is well lubed. Valve seals can go bad sitting that long along with a lot of other parts. Minimum I would pull the plugs and oil every cylinder and turn...
