    External torx for convertible seat track bolts?

    Newer ford driveshafts use that style bolt. I had luck using a 12 point socket on them.

    Dead in a parking lot

    The solenoid probably stuck. I have had many stick when battery gets low. I don’t know why it does it but it seems to happen a lot with an almost dead battery. You crank the motor and even after you let of the key, the motor keeps cranking. I have even had to pull the terminal.

    72 Mach 1 - Paint chrome moulds above and below rear honeycomb

    Peel tape off while it’s still wet. I waited till mine was dry and it took little pieces of paint with it and I had to redo the whole job.

    converting manual drum brakes to factory power front disc

    I have run the manual drum brake master cylinder for years with my disc brake setup. I have discs brakes all the way around and still have the original manual master cylinder.

    I think y’all are on right track with the weight imbalance. Or converter is bad. Tear that tranny out, it’s only couple hours of work.

    1972 Mach 1 at Mecum.

    Yeah a few thing are off but nice car. I believe tail light bezels should be all chrome in 72. Only 71 had the inside painted black.

    I'm surprised parts stores don't have rebuilt power brake boosters for these.

    C4 question

    It will be fine as long as it went in all the way. Always spin your converter as you slide it on the splines and make sure it clunks into position. Easy way to be sure is to check for a touch of play when you bolt converter to flywheel. Should be a little play in stud holes and not bound up...
