    HF New Jack Stands

Returned my 6Ton jack stands. They had the Daytona stands on sale so it was an even trade. The ones I returned were not the actual stands that were recalled, but they were listed as optional to return. The fact that they were on the list leads me to believe they were questionable. I hope the...

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

What really sucks is having a mix of sae and metric like the American cars of the 1980’s.

    71 convertible

What exactly is the issue with the brakes? From what I understand rpcv won’t allow the piston to back off causing drag. If you have too much pedal travel that could be from too much clearance from the booster rod to the mstr cyl, if thats not the problem then maybe the mstr cyl piston diameter...

    Austrailian heads project

Nicely done! Everything looks great and from your description, it should work very well. I am sure you are excited about getting it installed and going for a first drive, I know I would be. Looking at the intake manifold, I think it will work great in your setup. I really like those valve...

    HF New Jack Stands

I have some hf jack stands. I checked their website. Mine are not listed as the ones that need to be replaced, but they are on the list as an option to return them for a refund. I am upset that I didn’t hear about this from hf at the time of the recall. Luckily, mine were not the ones recalled...

Gone in 60 seconds? (1974 film)

I think it’s one of the best chase scenes ever. 40 minutes of mayhem with some comedy thrown in. It was a low budget movie but he made everything look so real. They used real cops, fire and aid people, as well as real crowds. If you mention the movie gone in 60 seconds, most people relate to...

    Happy 429 Day

The boss 429 kicked *** on the NASCAR circuit. It’s too bad that NASCAR banned the hemi engines and Ford pulled out of racing. Ford made an all aluminum 494 ci engine for can am racing.

    Loud squealing sound

Check your front brakes. If they are worn down the metal wear tabs could be contacting the rotor

    Ignition Issues

It seems odd that you can’t see any timing marks in your balancer. Maybe hard to see because of paint or dirt. Pull the number 1 spark plug and bump the starter until you hear air forced out, then check your balancer. You should see some marks on your balancer.

    Happy 428 Day

FE engines have a rich history both in NASCAR and drag Racing. Also a very formidable street engine. Definitely worth celebrating. Today is 429 day, one of my favorites. In fact the redesigned 1971 Mustang was slated for the Boss 429 engine, unfortunately, emissions standards were getting...

Vibration when running engine at 1200-1700 rpm’s and crusing about the same.

Vacuum leak, carburetor, timing, any of which can be the problem. Check the spark plugs. Look for any that look lean, take note of the ones that share the same intake runners. As far as the harmonic balancer goes, visually inspect the rubber ring and bring #1 to tdc at end of compression stroke...
