    Unrestored Boss 351

After scouring those pics for about 20 minutes, I'd have to say that I also have a few questions. If the VIN is true, then it might just be worth every penny. Otherwise, that's a lot of coin for a car in such an 'iffy' state - regardless of pedigree. I'm thinking it's going to need a bit of...

    71-73 Mustang LED tail lights

Scott's still on the mend for probably another 6 months or so. When he gets to a point where he can get more involved, he'll get the ball rolling again on the taillight production. Unfortunately, he's an absolute perfectionist, which means he won't jump into this halfway, but that also means...

Nice pencil drawing of my car

Wow - very nice! A quick question, though: was he working from a picture, or had the car in front of him... or did that all come from his memory? I know I struggled early on drawing things from memory and getting some things like proportions and details correct - it's not very easy at all. As...

    1980 Ford Bronco XLT 4X4

No worries - cracked me up, actually. Just had to hit ya back. LOL! I've always been a gray-scale guy (especially, since I'm slightly color-blind), so when I learned my Mach 1 was light pewter, I was sold on the color. The side graphics/tire tread stripe are cover/distractor from all the...

    1980 Ford Bronco XLT 4X4

Ouch... that hurts my Jeep ego. Thanks, Brother. LOL!

    1980 Ford Bronco XLT 4X4

Love it, Love it, Love it! Congratulations!! But you're right, that boy definitely looks like he's skipped more than just a few leg days. LOL! Probably just need to try on a few of the forums to see what's out there. If it's got a 351M or 400M, there aren't too many performance options, but...

"What's it worth?" How do you respond?

At car shows and C&C, I have 'The Book' out (with all the restoration pics) and every now and then I'll get asked that... and I have a range of sarcastic answers before finally saying, "There's no way I'd sell it after all it took to get to what you see here." If they persist, that's when I...

What was with this Mustang? 2F05H for $88,000?

$88K... for what? A legit R-Code - I can understand that. An H-Code being passed off as an R-Code until after the sale is made? Not so much. I admit that KBB.com is a lot different today than the last time I bothered to look (probably several years ago), but part of that is because of the...

    Luxstang says hello

Dude! Glad to see ya! So... back to the chrome front bumper (I thought you'd painted it)? Looking awesome as always! Don't be a stranger.

Did you guys follow these cars at Mecum Harrisburg? Fascinating cars!

I hope there's nothing more going on than some cosmetic errors on those cars, and it looks like some parts need to be swapped back to their original locations. The '72 "Boss 351" shouldn't have a urethane bumper (because it's really a '72 R-Code with the Boss 351 fenders and trunk lid from the...

What was with this Mustang? 2F05H for $88,000?

Actually, my fuzzy math has me spending over 2000 hours (all day, both days per weekend, every weekend for 4 years is over 3200 hours, and it's fair to say that I missed a few weekends here and there). At the time, $100/hr was a fair rate, but I figured since I was basically semi-unskilled...

What was with this Mustang? 2F05H for $88,000?

Not so much. The NASA hood doesn't indicate anything. Mine's a factory Ram Air car with an H-Code (351C-2V), and there were 302 cars with NASA hoods (the one I fell in love with as a teenager had a non-functional Ram Air hood, as a matter of fact). If anything, based on that poorly done...

Tach install in no tach car

That's the same wheel I had in my '82 Mustang (but with a Running Horse Tri-Bar logo) - Love it!

Tach install in no tach car

Like I said, between Midlife and RCCI, you can't go wrong either way. They're the BEST!

    Sold 1973 Convertible

Oh My Gawd, I love this car. I wish I had a place to park it, but the wife said, "No More Full-Scale Car Projects." If we win the Lottery this weekend, consider it sold, because we'll definitely be moving to a much bigger place if that's the case. ;-) Meanwhile, good luck with the sale!

Tach install in no tach car

I love those covers - I had a nice one on my '82 Mustang's factory wheel, but decided to swap for a Grant GT Challenger wheel. I'm not a huge fan of the foam rim/grip, so putting the old school wrap cover on was a no-brainer. Unfortunately, that cover was found at O'Reilly's and wasn't big...

Tach install in no tach car

I think it boils down to if you want that factory tach to work, you'll need to work with Midlife, but if you just want a tach that looks like a factory tach you'll need to work with TheRktman. Either way will give you a quality tach solution with easy-to-follow instructions for installing it...

    Air Conditioner Compressor Brackets

When I got my CAA kit (back in 2013), that piece did not come with the kit, as mine was an original 'No A/C' car. Also, that pic is not my engine, it was from the inspiration car I'd found in an issue of Mustang Monthly that I'd bought before I found mine. Here's mine, with the CAA installed...

    Repairable Rust?

A complete novice (Me) did mine, and it came out great! I literally cut out the bad stuff, made patches from the new stuff, and stuck it all back together. You got this!

    Repairable Rust?

You're looking at repairing both the outer wheelhouse pieces in all 4 corners, and fenders up front and quarter panels out back. If they make replacement pieces for the wheelhouses, fenders, and quarter panels, you can either replace those pieces, or trim out the bad stuff back to good metal...
