    Our website versus Facebook

I'm on fb everyday due to my oldest son and a few friends post there. Although I'm a member of the 7173 fb group I very seldom post there. I will give "likes" to some of the post and every once in a while, response to a question with a short answer. As mentioned by quit a few here, there...

    PoFoMoCo's 1971 Shelby Europa build October 2022

I have to say when you first mentioned what you planned on doing I was a little skeptical, but any doubt that you will complete your build and finish the car as a 1971 Shelby Europa has gone to the wayside. Very impressive. Keep up the great work.

    Insurance lessons learned

As a side note, for those who are restoring their cars, you may want to check with your homeowner's insurance company about coverage. When I was restoring my car, I had called about car insurance coverage for it, and they told me that they couldn't do it until it was drivable. They said that...

    Insurance lessons learned

I think you hit the nail on the head when it comes to the amount a company is willing to insure your car for. When I spoke to my agent about trying to determine the value of mine, he mentioned that they have a base level value for every car that they work from. Depending on the mods made, it...

    How to price my mustang??

Agree on the start high and work down. The problem with many sellers is what they see in their eyes vs what the potential buyer sees. Just take a look around your workshop at all the items you might be holding onto. Too many people tell their selves "that might be worth something" when in...

    Insurance lessons learned

Thanks for the great info. I found out what you are talking about some years ago. I have always shopped for insurance every couple of years and sometimes I have the same insurer for home and cars and other times I don't. As long as you have not had any tickets or accidents or other claims...

Opinions on Global West Subframe connectors?

I have Global West on my 71. They are well made and work great. The install is fairly easy and if you can weld then that will save you a few bucks. If you do the welding, try to get the car up on a lift to make life easrier welding. As mentioned, make sure the frame is loaded (car sitting or...

    How to price my mustang??

Put it on ebay with a minimum reserve. If it doesn't reach that price than you have the option to accept the highest bid or pull the add and relist it later. After seeing all the pictures and getting a little more info I would still say you are probably looking in the 8k - 10K range. You...

    How to price my mustang??

In my opinion there are several issues you are going to face. The fact that it has had a motor, trans and rear end swap will cut down on your buyer's market by those who are looking for an original car. Also, being modify will lower the value to some buyers. The other issue is as Hemi mentioned...

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

Did 4 loads of laundry, vacuumed, and cleaned the house. Can't wait until my wife gets completely healed and able to do the housework again. I have always helped out, but I've been doing it for 3 months straight now and am burnt out. Need a long drive in the mustang to recoup. lol.

What are my options Beyond Subframe Connectors?

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I have an older Weiand dual plan. The front height from top of block to top of manifold is about 5 1/4". I also have a 1/2" spacer on it. I have a 1 1/2" drop down air cleaner and I just clear. Need to remember I have a 460.
