Welcome. The VIN being different in the description may just be a typo. A few things I noticed are: Boss 351 hood stickers just said "Ram Air" not 351 Ram Air. The mount for the spare tire is missing some welded on parts to attach the threaded hook to. The air bottle for the spare is missing...

Very cool place to go, to see some automotive history. I've been to both the old facility and the new one. The old one you walked into the showroom floor, instead of the gift shop. Better experience, but the new one has a lot more room for more cars.

Yep, you're missing a lot of parts, as has been said. As for the scratches, there isn't enough heat in it to cause glass to shatter. If some of the "filaments" across the glass are scratched, there used to be a liquid you could patch them with.

The Boss was built more for racing, and the chrome front bumper was lighter. The rubber bumpers weigh a ton!

Here in Idaho you can't title or register your vehicle unless you have a signed title from the previous owner. I'm sure there are many, if not most, states that have the same rules. I've bought cars with lost titles before, but not without making the owner apply for and get a valid title before...

Also, if you plan on doing any "high performance" driving, you may want to upgrade to a 9" rear end. It's stronger and easier to find limited slip or locker center sections for it.

I'm going to throw in a wild card, just because. Have you considered going with a 302/5.0 engine with twin turbos? That would get you to 800hp, there are a multitude of kits out there for it already, so nothing super custom and a lot cheaper, you can get a roller cam motor, already have fuel...

Sounds like the shifter rod, between the shifter and the transmission, isn't adjusted correctly. Easy fix if that's it.

Probably added to run wires for a column mounted tach or aftermarket cruise control.

I believe the "odd" shaped hole is to keep the bezel/switch from rotating when it's operated. I would make the hole to fit the bezel.
