    A quick feel good acknowledgment…..

The knowledge and people on this site dedicated to this 3 year Mustang run is fantastic.

    Shout out to the 73 351C 4V!

Agreed. And there does seem to be something different about the Cleveland and Eddy carbs. I've installed Edelbrock carbs out the box on two Chevy 350s and 1 Pontiac 350 with minimal adjustment. For whatever reason, the 351C likes a bit more TLC. :)

    Shout out to the 73 351C 4V!

Hi all! Just a feel-good post to say how happy I am with my engine. :) 73 Vert with 351C 4V, 3.25 gears, 4 speed. The engine internals have never been opened, but I've done the following: Edelbrock 4V Intake (used) Edelbrock 650 AVS 2 carb (with choke removed) FPA headers 2.5" exhaust...

    Spied this on Craigslist...

I agree. No problem with trying to get all the money, and if it is an original 16,000 mile car, that's pretty rare. However if you're going to ask $50,000, spend a little time and effort on the ad.

    Exhaust Question

Your best bet is to have a muffler shop customer bend a 2.5" system. I have staggered shocks and ordered a prebent kit. The muffler shop had to "rebend" a good chuck of it to get it to fit my headers and clear the shocks.

    Throttle Linkage Modification Issue

    I don't think that's a 73 stock intake. I suspect that one might work.

    Throttle Linkage Modification Issue

Do some research, but I believe any Edelbrock squarebore carb will bolt on but the secondaries will not open. They will hit metal before they open.

    Throttle Linkage Modification Issue

I don't think the carb will mount to a 73 manifold. The manifold is an oddball spreadbore design. I had to change manifolds to an Eddy to get it all to work.

    72 Mach 1 vs tree

That looks really bad. Looks like the roof was probably cut off to get the people out. I hope they recover quickly and fully.

    Need opinions on Redhead Steering

You're spot on. From Redhead's site: "Probably the most unique and important thing we do is custom fit every single worm and piston assembly with new precision fit steel balls. This is a process not matched by any other company in the industry. This process is very important. The machining...

Yup, 3 turns lock to lock. My son comes home from school next week and asked me to wait for him. Expect an update next week! I do have a lift so hopefully it goes smooth. : ) Nothing better than being in the garage with your kids. Love it. Redhead doesn't want you touching the adjusting nut...
