    Convertible Top Boot

I have a yellow 73 vert and have the original top boot. I think the car looks a lot better without the boot than with the boot. For whatever reason, the boot hiding the convertible top just doesn't present as nice as the top folded down. Just my opinion . . .

Need help with heater hose and control valve install

Do you still have the original valve? I ask, because mine stopped working a while back. It was stuck closed. I removed it, cleaned it with brake fluid, then let it sit in vinegar overnight, and now it works perfect.

    Edelbrock Carb Empties

Interesting thought. I'm pulling the engine this winter. Perhaps I'll replace the pump as a precaution.

    Edelbrock Carb Empties

Hi! I have a 650 AVS2 carb. If I let it sit for more than a few days I have to turn the engine over for a long time before it'll start. I'm assuming the carb is draining when it's sitting? It runs fine otherwise. Typical solution?

    What is a survivor?

I agree, that's a survivor. The definition, or the flexibility in which people use the term, survivor, does seem to be getting watered down a bit. For me, I guess it's not the miles, but the least amount of modifications, including paint. Some body work (done right) to cover a fender bender...

    Converting to manual trans

I've had several classic American cars. All were fun. However, my 73 with 4 speed is the most fun to drive. It's not the fastest, it doesn't handle the best, it's just fun to row through those gears.

Ram Air and Pertronix II Billet distributor question

Just adding another data point. I have the same disty and can confirm that the stock air cleaner housing (not ram air) will not fit over the disty.

    What is a survivor?

I'm following a few posts about "survivor" cars. I love older, untouched cars. But what makes a car a "survivor?" How do you define it?

    Non-Mustang Brakes (Sorry)

I should've updated this, sorry. Turns out it was a driver's side front brake line leaking. The MC and ABS unit were ok. Thanks for all the advice!

Pulling engine with 2 post lift?

Kind of an oddball question, but has anyone pulled an engine with a 2 post lift? My cherry picker won't reach the engine without hitting the front bumper. I could get a new one or remove the bumper, but has anyone ever experimented with putting a couple of 6x6 beams across their two post lift...
