RIBS 71 convertible build JUNE 21 till??

That looks really good with the wrapped leather, fits your interior nicely. Women are very color-sensitive in all their decisions, so I know that feeling 🤣 Great to hear you took her out and enjoyed the car with her!

    Tracking down old owners?

Interesting point of view I have to think about. We share kinda the same feelings and experiences. The most part of the history of my car is in the dark but should I bring some light in? At the one side I have kinda to be thankful that someone brought my car relatively safe and complete over the...

Did 71-73 Mustangs come with factory seat track shims ?

You're welcome! The shims were lightly curved towards the middle all their length and the end has a little up-curve too. You lightly bolt on the back screws on the seat track, then slide the shims in, then tighten it to specs. Edit: it looks like this. Ask Motorcity Mike or Ohio Don, they...

1971 1972 1973 Mustang fastback wind down quarter window conversion

The fact that you can mount a coupe mechanism in there shows that they thought about it. But as the Mustang in this form was a dying species back then they decided to leave it without it as a cost saving method. And if one wants that option they could sell more power windows. With power windows...

On my 73 there were original shims in the two back mounts of each seats, the front had not.

    ’71 Mach 1 Resto Project

Not too bad for the first welds, I have started the same way. So keep on going, it is coming along nicely. For the valve covers: I would keep them as is, you have cleaned then really nice. They were not better over the counter. Try to keep them als clean as possible from time to time and they...

    Steering issues, please help!

Geoff, that's the one thing I think of the most. We have discussed that a few times here over the years and know now how important the right geometry is. To get the right one for our cars is not easy these days... But what wonders me about how could it be ok before rebuild of the steering box...
