Help, my kids have taken over the garage

Things are getting out of hand... They are having a blast and learning that heat is necessary to break red thread lock from China.

    Instrument Panel Light Sockets

Be careful, I bought some from NPD and they did not work, the angle of the contacts was off just a bit.

    Turn Key One Crank

Took the battery and let it sit overnight. It dropped to a bit less than 8 volts. Problem solved without getting dirty or having to get under the car.

    Turn Key One Crank

It is the change of season here. I put a quick charger on at 50 amps and at least got the lights and radio back. Sounds like the battery is shot - that will be my first move tomorrow before actually getting dirty.

    Turn Key One Crank

Usual Ford nonsense. Could be low battery, the connections at the starter are bad, the ground is bad, or the solenoid is bad. Any advice before I dig in? Battery was on a trickle charger for two weeks and is showing 12.85V - bit low but enough? Thanks

    Interesting brake issue

+1 on appearance of lines vs. actually working. My 50 F1 was locking up one wheel. When I tried to bleed the brakes, nothing came out the other (non locking) side. The rubber hose that looked fine had collapsed internally and that was the problem. All new rubber lines and a flush of the...

Wanted - '73 Rear window defroster toggle switch

I also have the entire wiring harness including relay. Just no switch. It is easy to replace the knob. I bought the vert top switch from Don and the video is already posted on this thread. PM me if you have additional questions.

    LED bulb install

My understanding is that they are polarity sensitive. The circuit map that came with the LEDs when I purchased them clearly showed ground and power. I just marked the sides of the sockets and made sure that the polarity was correct. Didn't test, just put it back and everything was fine. Just...

No deck, it is what it is. It sat for 10 years. They had to trace and fix all the wiring, rebuild the starter, clean every passage in the carb, etc. All day for days on end. At least they were outside instead of sitting in front of the screen with GTA. Thinking forward, they are trying to...

At least there is a Mustang in the picture. The neighborhood kids (including mine) are learning that you can build speed but you also have to pay for what you destroy - at least tire wise. My son gave my 70 year old neighbor a great run including drifts at both ends of the street. Long live FUN.

How old were you when you bought your Mustang?

I bought my first '71 when I was in high school (17) from a neighbor when it was 9 years old. Rebuilt it, drove it through high school, marriage, and the blissful years before...sold it when the kids came along. Bought my current '73 when AARP started calling - so I guess the middle age thing...

    which are the rarest options

Did always love the dog dishes with trim rings. That is what came with and stayed on my '71. I still miss that car.
