Hence, my question about inches of vacuum at idle. If the timing of off, the vacuum will be low. I don't know what cam in in my Cleveland but timing with a vacuum gauge instead of a timing light works wonders for power.

I check the BRAKE FLUID and braking action and then check it twice. Then I hit the road and hope for the best. I do use marine Stabil over the winter, never had any problems. I also leave the car on a trickle charger so the battery is ready.

Does anyone have good pictures of the inflator bottle to the 73 space saver spare? I've seen many that claim to be correct but appear to be closer to a red propane tank. A set of good pictures would help me alot. Thanks in advance.

Nankang. I think they are out of Vietnam. Just try finding a cheap 6.00X16 six ply tube tire anywhere else at a reasonable price. They were under $50 when I replaced the tires on the '50 F1.

I got the bushings from NPD. They were too thick to work as a pair but one new and the better of the two old ones combined did the trick.

It was a very sloppy shifter and out of adjustment neutral safety switch. Put new bushings in the shifter and played with neutral safety switch adjustments til it worked. The shifter is nice and tight with the new bushings

Did you get the intermittent wipers as well?

Just about 6'5" as well. I had to learn.

The knob doesn't screw on - you have to take apart the switch and replace the entire knob and shaft. Not too hard but it will take a couple of minutes.
