Maybe there's a way to get by with splicing a coupe set with the rears of your fastback trims. The joint probably could be minimized to a nearly invisible line. Maybe it could be hidden near the window stabilizer.

Sure it fits, use manufacturer information to determine what battery to use. 73's got Motorcraft batteries from the factory.

I put the rear dead center of the rear bumper location. The front pivot I put that 8 inches down from the top of the radiator support. That's with the front suspension on.

This is the one for the 65 front fender mount. It appears wider than what you have. Perhaps you could adapt or glean something from this reply.

They look very similar to the ones that are used on 65 66 mustang front fender to rocker panels. 5/16" bolt type.

It goes through the upholstery, which includes the backer padding. It does not go through the seat foam.

You will probably need floors also, as they overlap a couple inches. If car was cleared of the interior, I was charging $2600 for butt welding floors and installing the customer supplied parts. I've seen prices in the $3500 range.

Be sure to glue the headliner with careful attention to sealing it to the pinch welds. It's common for water to get around the headliner and rear window seal and leak out on the inner quarter trim panels.

There should be a black plastic insulated pad there. It should have some over spray of the gray trunk spatter along the trunk floor and wheel wells. The closest appearing product I've found to match the original is a fender cover material sold by " Snakeoyl" they sell it by the foot also.
