73 Aluminum slot wheels lug damage

Few years ago I would have disagreed with Kit, but after watching a guy repair a wheel first hand with a Tig, grinding, cleanup and polishing on an old wheel I am believer. As hard as it is to simply replace classic wheels like those today the cost is worth it many times. We have the...

    71 Spring Special

I don't know its a 70's thing to me. Every car my dad owned for god knows how many years had them damn things and the bumper jack that seemed like it could kill you at any instant. If you follow Richard Rawlins mantra every car wants to run............

    73 351CJ "Q" CODE ENGINE BUILD

Be riding dirty right there. Sounds like a mean scorcher of a build, with a nice bit of comfort to boot. AC an all. How original are you looking being most heads painted Ford Blue are gonna look the same? It should have 2V heads if it is stock, 4V heads can make that engine breath. Its gonna...

    7173 mustang values

See I disagree totally. I keep hearing about value this and cost that. Some people keep wanting to say if you can't afford it get out. To me it sounds like to many people get in it for an "investment" more than love of the car and you want your investment to go up in price. Lets be honest the...

    20" wheels on '71-'73

I like the more modern bigger rims on alot of vehicles. The reduced side wall is good for performance driving IMO. On our cars though 17" wheel is my limit anything larger just doesn't quite look right to me.

    Welding question, for the beginner.

Home Depot or Lowes project metal rack is your friend. Cheap mild steel that is great for starter welding in various thickness and bends and angles. Thats how I got started no classes here. Grab some stuff off the metal rack and go. $20 worth of cheep steel and no worries about messing up...

    Mach 1 with a 302

Put that way kit it does make total since if that was what they were doing at the time.

    Mach 1 with a 302

I agree Kit thats quite possible but at the same time it makes no since not installing free upgrades that make the car more marketable. Not that Ford made since with alot of things we have seen from that era. Some day in the future I will try to get some scans of pictures taken in the 70's...

7" round projector lamps for HID conversion

So that leaves me the question what bulb did you go with and just how plug and play were they? Did you have to run additional wiring to power them bypassing the switch using a relay or something? Did you have to modify the surrounding parts to fit them? Or did they fit nicely in the stock trim...

    Mach 1 with a 302

Yup mine was a 302 Mach 1 with 3-Speed. Base model with the dog dish hub caps and such. Pics from the 70's before upgrades of my Mach 1 make it look like a sleeper. Nothing special about it at all. Almost makes me want to put it back to that look. Interestingly mine came with the standard hood...

    Welding question, for the beginner.

I picked up a barely used Millermatic 135 off Craigslist last year for $375 with the almost full Bottle, Cart and Auto Dark Mask. Honestly I couldn't be any happier at this point. If you are in no hurry take some time and watch for a nice used one. It can save you a bundle. I know I will need a...

    My budget build "performance motor"

Just and update of more or less major parts final list for my build when I get back from the desert. So the new motor continues to come along. I should have all the parts minus a few gaskets when I get home from the deployment. All that leaves is having the rotating assembly balanced and...

    Hello from the Bluegrass State.

I feel your pain then. We are searching for a house to buy in the area and it amazes me how many are messed. To many places either have mold issues, foundation issues or both. Beautiful area with some amazing house. Sadly a large disparity between what is affordable 150k and below and what is...

    Royal Purpal!

I tend to reference this guys page alot when I need info about oil. He seems to have info well organized without alot of advertising mumbo jumbo. Personally thought I think RP is seriously overpriced for what it is. Although they do make engine assembly lube I like to use.

    George Trosley

Cartoons magazine was awesome when I was a kid. I would grab a copy when ever I found one. I would say Trosley style is as recognizable as many of the 60-70's classics. At home on a hard rive I have a collection with a bunch of the cartoons mags on it.

I got this from AJE Suspension a little bit ago. From: James Poynter [[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2014 1:02 PM Subject: Re: [uNCLASSIFIED//NONE] 1971 Mustang K Member Mathew, The Kit for the 71-73 is just as the 65-70. We have to specify of course as these are two...

I was wondering if anybody had some more info on these. I ran across them on Facebook and requested more information. Search function didn't turn up any threads. Scroll down their page to the 71 Mach 1 Page says they are producing them for sale. https://www.facebook.com/AJESuspension...

She's a keeper. I get to enjoy my hobbies with virtually no repercussions. Much lower maintenance than the Mustang I will say that. Drives me nuts that while I understand there is a sucker born every minute. I always thought common sense was king. These days not so much anymore when I continue...
