    Hello from hades......

Or in this case pcs'ed to Fort Knox and was told "your deploying to Kuwait in 30 days". So stang is on hold till next year. I do get some extra money and time...

Must have seen "Fast & Loud"

I agree and disagree Kit. Possibly a hard core stroked 347 with worked AFR heads possibly and all the supporting stuff. But then it is no longer a 302. But I don't know of a sane person who would waste big money on a setup like that over jumping to a stroked 351 or a big block. In my experience...

Must have seen "Fast & Loud"

302 angine with a Dual Quad intake for Racing What kind of moron wastes a dual quad tunnel ram on a 302. I'm sure that setup was the cost to benefit winner of 302 upgrades.

    3.89 or 3.55 gear

Kit is spot on I just swapped out the 3.89's that were in mine. Great gears if you want to get off the line quick but the RPM's got way to high to fast and casual driving was a chore. I have multiple carriers now one with a 3.70 and a set of 3.55's also and really like the 3.55. It is a great in...

    Ranchers

No it is always very interesting to see what the "old timers" think compared to us young ones. I'm 38 and agree constantly. But I think part of my opinion comes from serving my country. I wasn't forced like the old timers. I chose it and actually enjoy it. I don't agree with everything my...

Boss 351 Car & Driver Feb 1971 Road Test

See'ing those articles it's apparent what cemented the 70's Mustangs as ******* step children. Well known people and magazines who didn't like the direction the cars were headed. Years later articles I read that revisited them had alot nicer things to say about the 71-73 models. Especially when...

CJ's Live Coverage of the Unveiling of the 50th Anniversary Mustang

Last I understood the first Mustang was sold in April of 1964 no matter if it was labeled a 64 or 65 model year Mustang at the time. So ya 50 years of the Mustang.

    Frozen DIff

You can soak it in old motor oil if you have some around but it might take a week or 2 of screwing with it before it might break free. Add that to the fact that it has a good chance of exploding upon regular use and I wouldn't do it without a rebuild.

Well... I suppose it was inevitable

Over my 20 years in the Army I have seen the Auto Craft Shops continue to go down hill. I barely even bother to do any work there anymore. Got tired of them never having the right tools, tools were broken and never got replaced. Nothing pisses me off more than paying 10-15 + tool box fees an...

    Anyone get Car Craft Magazine??

I can't help with the immediate problem. But you can sign up on the website for coupons. They are always sending me 20% off and 25% off a single item printable coupons along with the normal coupons like you are asking. Also I get the much coveted 20%-25% off a $100 purchase often enough. Most...

    Total vehicle LED lighting...

You can change over to a mechanical blinker relay I think it is. Thats what I used on my mustang when I switched to LED's. Had to replace both of them one used in the driver side and the one in the passenger dash. Used the same kind on my Jeep for many years when I switched to LED's on it. I'll...

    Total vehicle LED lighting...

I got my dome buld from Hi-Po Parts garage. At the same time I also replaced the partially melted cover. The LED's make it so I will enver have to worry about it ever again. The palstic melted many years ago before I got the car. LED's don't give off near the heat the incandescent bulbs do.

    The Dodge Van is...ALIVE!

I won't say it goes for all engines because some are alot more fragile than others. The big three stuck with the small blocks for alot of years for a damn good reason. I have seen them take alot of abuse and run year after year with duct tape, JB Weld and bailing twine..............

installed LED dash lights and "Rocketman's" converted AMP gauge today.

Little things like that really do kick *** when they turn out so well. Best part is any normal person would never notice. We on the other hand can tell the difference instantly from the old classic dim bulbs that burn out to easily and far to often.

    GOLD Plated Mach 1 part

My favorite is when they take a common part and list it for a Boss 351 or special edition and add premium price to it.

    I found Flash Gordon's bus

Sorry to say but if I got ahold of something like that it would turn into a resto-mod. Turn it into a cool mobile home/camper. Modernize the power plant and a cool paint job. That thing is awesome.

    Leaded Fuel and your Valves

I rarely run lead additive in my Mustang. Been driving it like that for years with no ill affects. But I am also just tooling around in it. No racing and very rare long distance driving. When I pull my motor apart here shortly I will get some pictures of the valve seat. But I am guessing they...

Crankshaft Torsion and Dampers - white paper

Thats a really informative article. BHJ makes some great products. I know a number of guys who use them on their engines. The founder Mike Dunn died recently. Smart man with some great ideas. Currently I am using a Innovators West balancer on my Supercharged Harley F150 and have a Romac setting...
