    Power Brake Booster Paint

Just a word of caution: If you switch to DOT 5 silicone brake fluid you will have to completely remove all of the conventional DOT 3 alcohol based fluid from the brake system's hydraulics. This will require a thorough and complete flush. Dot 3/4 and Dot 5 do not play well together. Ron

    Gear ratio

I agree on that point. I too have mellowed over the years. On a practical point the BFG tires I run have more than doubled in price since the last time I bought them. Therefore burnouts are few and far between. Ron

If you have the Waze app it will tell you your speed via GPS.

    Gear ratio

That is curious I have 2.75 gears with 235/60/15 tires and I cruise at about 2200 rpm at 70.

    Gear ratio

I have to chime in on the subject of H codes with 2.75 rear gears since that is what my car is and was stock. I still run the 2.75 gears but have been running a four barrel and non-stock cam for better than 20 years. I will testify to the fact that my H-code in stock form before I did anything...

Check out the new Hallmark Christmas ornament

That is pretty cool. Wish they made a 71-72 version.

    351 Cleveland Valve Cover Gasket

I did a test fit on a spare set of stock steel valve covers and I will give them a try since I already have them. I paid about $70 for them from Amazon 3 years ago. It is nice to have a modern style gasket for the valve covers. They are not cheap but maybe worth it. I have ARP studs for both my...

    351 Cleveland Valve Cover Gasket

Has anybody out there used the Fel-Pro 1682 gaskets with steel valve covers? How did they work? I have a set of them in reserve but not installed them as of yet.

    Improving panel fit and alignment

Fixing body panel alignment on older cars is about as enjoyable as being boiled in a vat of hot Crisco oil. It makes me insane. Then once the doors and fenders are aligned, you have to screw around with the windows because they will need to be adjusted. Then of course there is the hood...

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

I did nothing that was pleasant. Ron

Do not change out your ac fan blower without trying something that I did which worked

I agree, I fix a lot of other "mechanics" mistakes. We don't all suck.

    71 or 72?

My 72 is an early production (8/71). My consecutive build number starts with 109. I have a factory flip open gas gap and no passenger side seat belt light. Ron

    Memorial Day

Well, Spike, I have a very similar picture of myself posing with my Cleveland on the Dyno from 21 years ago. I have to do a deep dive into my family tree and see what shakes out. He was a Ford guy. So chances are there is a family connection. Thanks for posting those photos Spike. Ron

    Memorial Day

A west coast Tanzi! That is weird. My Grandmother on my mother's side moved to San Fernando in the mid 1920s. My Grandmother stayed in RI to marry my very awesome Grandfather. I have to look into the California connection with my Dad's side.

Anyone identify these two pieces of aluminum channel?

I was in a Fajita state of mind. Today is steak on the grill. We are having the most perfect weather this weekend. God bless our Veterans. Ron

Anyone identify these two pieces of aluminum channel?

Fabrice can have a Fajita. Fajitas for everyone!! I made them last night.

Anyone identify these two pieces of aluminum channel?

Sheriff deserves at least a chicken fajita for figuring that out.

Engine Dies When Shifting to Drive

Do you have a regular 3 speed automatic or is it an AOD? If it was converted to an AOD you could have a stuck torque converter lock up solenoid.
