Just a word of caution: If you switch to DOT 5 silicone brake fluid you will have to completely remove all of the conventional DOT 3 alcohol based fluid from the brake system's hydraulics. This will require a thorough and complete flush. Dot 3/4 and Dot 5 do not play well together. Ron

I agree on that point. I too have mellowed over the years. On a practical point the BFG tires I run have more than doubled in price since the last time I bought them. Therefore burnouts are few and far between. Ron

Has anybody out there used the Fel-Pro 1682 gaskets with steel valve covers? How did they work? I have a set of them in reserve but not installed them as of yet.

Fixing body panel alignment on older cars is about as enjoyable as being boiled in a vat of hot Crisco oil. It makes me insane. Then once the doors and fenders are aligned, you have to screw around with the windows because they will need to be adjusted. Then of course there is the hood...
