    Chrome front bumper

I have a spare front chrome (repro) and a 71 urethane and can weigh them each but I don’t think it’s going to matter a ton. Like you could save as much weight by eating a lighter lunch before you go to the track I bet. The 73 bumper on the other hand is much heavier.

    Chrome front bumper

Yeah I swapped in a 71/72 grille on my 73, but I am also going to paint under the crease of the bumper. Here is my (sorry it’s so filthy from shop dust and pollen) 73 after a bunch of work at a buddy’s in SC. I am using some black masking tape to plan out how I am going to paint the lower half...

    Chrome front bumper

Thanks brother. I didn’t think I was a convertible guy either but feel like the 71-73 has a great range of possibilities. In my opinion one of these verts can be a very classy convertible - like you’d drive the mayor in at a parade or something (say with flat hood, level stance, chrome strips...

    Chrome front bumper

I dig the 71/72 urethane “spoiler” bumper and the chrome bumper almost equally. I own both but went with chrome on my 72 just for the contrast; my paint is medium-to-dark and the chrome accentuates the grille a bit against a dark color. If I had chosen a lighter color paint, the choice would...

    71-72 bumpers on a 73

You can make a 71-72 front bumper work with the 73 fenders, but (no offense to those who have done it) to me it never looks quite right. I am not a prude about modifications at all, but the indention on the 73 fender for the bumper is an inch or two lower, and as such the fender extensions keep...

    Stinky |Tool Box

+1 on the stinky screwdrivers. I didn’t like my wife and young kids going into my tools - even the bag in the house - because nothing ever made it back to where it came from. So I had a small basic tool kit in a tupperware container for them to use to change batteries, hang a picture, or...

Anyone have information on this car?

I have to admit that though I am not generally a fan of lowered cars, that stance does seem to suit the body. Probably helps rear visibility, too! I have always liked my muscle cars to have a rake but this car is compelling. Found this video on the car but not a great camera angle for the...

Best wishes for a successful surgery and full, quick, and trouble-free recovery! God bless, brother.

    Drain holes in subframe connector

Probably pretty obvious but I would maybe try a few ways to determine where the lowest point is the the connectors when the car is level. That’s roughly where you would want the hole, otherwise I would think water could go in the hole and pool. You could maybe spray them lightly with water mist...

    Well that sucks

Sorry to hear it and, as you said, glad it wasn’t worse. Prayers for a speedy recovery and hopefully you all now have a good excuse to relax during the holidays.

    Cemetery Visit

I agree. Awesome car; love the color. I also like the 71/72 grille on the 73 (did the same on my 73).

    Cemetery Visit

Nice. Did you re-hearse that, or just let it RIP?

    Cemetery Visit

I couldn’t decide on a lame dad play-on-words. It was going to be either “attempting to get a picture like that could have grave consequences” or “that image is to die for.” Making a choice between them proved to be too much of an undertaking. They say puns are the lowest form of humor anyway...

Congratulations on the new car brother, and welcome from North Carolina. With this forum (for mostly specifics about these models) and youtube (for more general car info), you will learn fast. Stick with it and prepare yourself for some frustration at times... but at the end of the day it’s a...
